Another school day has passed. Everyday is still the same, its all the same, what did I expect? I walked slowly home, as I did I sild my hand against the cold wall. I listened to the quiet breeze around me and the kids in the park.
"Mom! I wanna eat ice cream!!!"

As I got near my house I see a black car parked right in of the houses entrance. Good thing I was skinny and sild my tiny body through the gap. Visitors? I peaked through the living room door. There was a man who sat across from mother. For a long time, I haven't seen her smile so brightly and I wondered why. Suddenly my mother looked my way. Her expression was just as surprised as I was, but after a sec or two she smiled. She smiled?
"Ah you're finally back?"

Huh? I thought you wished I was never back?

"Uh....yeah" I stuttered.

"Come here and sit here, I have good news!" She said excitedly.
I walked over to her and sat besides her. This man looks familiar?

"Mei li ah....you've grown to be such a pretty girl. I remember when you were still a little kid. Do you remember me?" The man suddenly said.

"N-no sorry I don't remember..." I said in a low voice.

"Ah it's not problem after all we haven't seen each other for at least 9 years." He said.
9 years? What do you mean?

"Excuse me, but could you explained more?" I said alittle more interested.

"Ah do you remember fang xuan? He was the one you promised to get engaged with." He said smiling.

"W-what engaged? How? I'm only 16 though?"

"The promise was made years ago so you might have forgotten, but this is the reason why we came here today."

In the end, mother was still happy I'm leaving....well if she can smile this brightly with me gone then...whatever....as long as she is happy I would do it?

"That's why I wish you can come to live with us after all we know your condition...." he continued.

"But what about my mother? I can't just leave her behind!" I said kind of scared.
Hearing what I have just said mother frowned.

"You don't need to worry about me just go and live your life, after all you old enough already...besides I already packed your stuff." she said kind of trying to push me away.

"Yep Mei li ah....we are willing to give your mother 1M dollars. My expression froze. 1M? Is that why mother was in such a hurry? Can't this all be a lie?

"Is that so? 1M dollars? Mother is that the reason why you decided to give me away? Mother have you ever thought of me as your daughter? Never have you right?" I said in a low voice but loud enough to make the entire room silent. Ah I said it... I finally said it....
After a long moment of silence I got up and went to my room. Indeed everything was packed. I started to bring the bags downstairs. After what seemed like forever I went back to the room and looked at the man, completely ignoring my mother's entire existence. Wait she isn't my mother....she was never my mother before, I said to myself laughing.

"Aren't we leaving?" I said coldly. I think that was the time the littlest human inside of me disappeared. From then on I don't think I can ever turn back to the way I was before.
