A New Me

Part 1: The Shadow
The sky is blue
But all I see
The shadow of the dark in me,
The shadow though I may not be,
The shadow is still inside of me.

Part 2: They Think. . .
They think they see inside of me,
But really they cannot see,
The me that they cannot be,
The me who I wanna be.

Part 3: Regrets
Regrets are those we will always have,
Regrets are those that come from within,
Regrets are those that help us see,
That maybe we should be who we wanna be.

Part 4: Friendship
A friend is just another word for someone you love,
You my not see it no,
but your "friends" are those that will always make you
smile, laugh, and always keep in your heart.

Part 5: Distance
Does distance matter?
Does it matter when you are 356 miles away from
The comforting smile of the one and only love,
The one and only friend,
The one and only part of you that will never grow up.
Does distance matter?
Does it matter if you are 356 or a lifetime away?
Does it matter if you can hear, but can't see them?
Does it matter when your hero is on the other side of the universe?

Part 6: Hero
A hero is someone you look up to.
A hero is someone you love.
A hero is someone you would die to see one last time.
A hero is someone who helps, guides, and loves you.
A hero is in heaven.

Part 7: The Perfect Girl
The perfect girl  you knew before,
She does not live she is no more,
You caused her pain you cannot see,
You are now the death of me.
