Prologue

The first bell rang as I dashed up the stairs to my first class. Crap!! Late on the first day!! I burst into my Spanish room panting, blushing as all heads turned toward me. Shit. 

Letting my bag drop onto the ground, I slip into the first open seat I can find. In front of the whole class. Shit shit. The boy behind me winked as I turned around to assess the damage. Ugh, why? My teacher sat in his chair busily typing on his computer, he doesn't seem very invested in teaching tbh. Well isn't this a lively crowd... I looked to my left.. oh right, the front row consists of one fricking chair, and I'm in it. I sighed as the other kids who knew each other greeted one another. Hi! I'm Isabelle Strauss. But people can call me Iz (or Izzy, I'm not picky)

I grew up in a relatively sheltered home and went to a private school all my life. Recently, my dad got a job in Charleston, SC. Uprooted, about to be a freshman, and very much in the puberty stage. It was hell.

Living with older siblings is enough, but with older brothers, it's much worse. Allow me to break it down for you. You. Are. Shit. It's your hair that gets pulled, your food mooched off of, and your stomach they sit on when you try and nap.

But hey, I'm tough! When I was six my brother was standing on top of the monkey bars and thought it would be funny to step on my fingers while I swung under him. long story short, there was a trip to the ER and I broke my arm. Fun right?

Anyway, moving was tough and not all of my stuff was out of boxes when school started up. New School, new friends, new life.
