Megan's POV
"Lauren down here now!" One of the sisters yells at her. I follow because I don't want to be upstairs by myself. I timidly go down the stairs and I see a fight, a fight between someone and Mack! I walk up the two fighters the other one is a guy.
"Mack! What are you doing?" I ask not facing her because I'm looking at the other guy.
"Fighting." She snips.
"Why?"
"Because this guy called be a wimp!" She is practically growling the words.
"You know you're not a wimp." She's on two of the college athletic teams, lacrosse and hockey.
"He doesn't know that." I turn around and Mack is very drunk. So stupid.
I grab her, "We are leaving." I tell her.
"But I don't wanna go." She whines at me like a child.
"I will yell your full name to everyone if you don't leave." I threaten.
That gets her sober, "No please don't I'm coming."
I walk to the door and see Amy, "Sorry." I put my jacket on Mack because I have no idea where hers went.We walk in the cold and get back to our dorm, "Mackenzie, what are you doing!" I yell at her and slap her tears welling up in my eyes.
"Ow you hit me." She complains clutching her cheek.
"I will do it again if you drink and get into a fight." I look her right in the eyes.
"Sorry." She squeaks.
"You could lose your athletic scholarships." I tell her trying to hide my nerves.
She looks down at her shoes.
"Shower and go to bed." I order. She goes to the bathroom and there's a knock on the door, "Hello."
Lauren's POV
Christina calls me down and there's a fight. Why does she need me? Megan timidly follows but walks right over to the fight. That must be her roommate. I thought Mack was a boys name though so I'm confused when she grabs the girl and leaves. I walk back upstairs already spending to much time in the party and there's a phone on the ground, Megan's phone.
I walk downstairs and see Amy, "Megan left her phone here, I'm bringing it to her."
"Okay!" She says cheerily. I walk outside and it's freezing, I forgot it had snowed. I reach the dorms and follow snowy footprints through the dorms until I reach a door. I hear yelling inside but I can't make it out.
I wait until the yelling stops and knock on the door, "Hello." I say. I didn't notice how tall Megan was because she was leaning on the door the entire time.
"What do you want?" Stone cold, ouch.
"You left your phone." I take out her phone and hand it to her.
"Oh, thanks." She says her face softening. She has beautiful blue eyes but when she was mad they were scary cold. She looks at me and realizes I don't have a jacket, "Are you crazy! You'll die of hypothermia." She pulls me inside, literally pulls me, and drags me to a closet. She goes through the closet and takes out a heavy jacket, "Take this." She throws it at me.
"Thanks."
"How did you even get here? It's dark outside." She signals outside its pitch black. I shrug back.
"Okay I'm walking you back." She announces.
"You don't need to." I tell her.
She doesn't respond, "Mack, I'm leaving. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" I chuckle at this.
"OK!" I hear a voice from the other room.
She grabs another jacket to put on herself, "Lets go."
She grabs me again, "You know you don't need to hold me." I direct to her hand on my arm.
"Sorry." She removes her hand. What made this girl so two sided? She's nice one second and then mean the next.
I don't know how she can see in the dark but we make it back to my house, "Thanks." I tell her and she stays waiting. "You still have my jacket."
"Oh, right." I take the jacket off missing it's warmth.
She walks away into the dark. The party is still going on so I go upstairs but to my room.Lauren's Journal

I met this mysterious girl today. Her name is Megan Nightingale. She was very confusing, she was nice one second and mean another. I don't think she tried to be mean because when I pointed it out she quickly apologized. She is surprisingly as tall as me. Her eyes are a beautiful blue and her blonde hair complimented them perfectly. Anyways I just want to know what's got this girl so cold on the outside.Peyton's POV
I accidentally grabbed Lauren's arm, "You know you don't need to hold me."
I quickly let go, "Sorry." Why do I do that? We reach the house and I wait for Lauren to give the jacket back.
She forgets, "You have my jacket." I tell her and she takes it off. I walk back to the dorms. It's pitch black out so I barely can see two feet in front of me but I make it back.
Mack is sitting on my bed, "You're back!"
She's overly excited, "Mack, you're still drunk."
"I'm fine." She says laying on my bed.
"You know that's my bed right." I point to it.
"It's wayyyy more comfy than mine." She says emphasizing the ay.
"We have the exact same bed." I point out. It's college, we have the same everything.
"I'm not moving." She is being very stubborn.
I walk over and pick Mack up and put her in her own bed, "What'd you do that for?" She whines at me.
"I want to sleep." I sit on my bed.
"Boring." She sighs.
"Go to bed." I order.
"Never." She smiles mischievously.
"Then be quiet." I tell her trying to focus on what happened today.
She huffs at me.Peyton's Journal

Today Mack dragged me to a party and got drunk, drunk! How is she supposed to go to practice tomorrow? Aside from Mack I met this nice girl named Lauren. She seems very good but I was my standoffish self as always. How come when I actually want to be close to someone I'm mean?"Megan?" Mack's voice comes from her bed.
"Yes, Mack." I respond.
"What are you writing about?" She asks and I turn to see she's on her side staring at me.
"Why?" I ask her.
"Your face is all red." She points out.
"You're seeing things." I lie to her.
"I'm not four eyes like you. My eyes don't lie."
"I'm writing about the party." I admit but still omit Lauren.
"Okay." And with that she closes her eyes to go to sleep.
