Andrew's POV

Five minutes... to one hour.

There are times when love can't be enough to tolerate someone. Gaya na lang ngayon.

It's Valentine's Day. Dahil sa innate kong ka-cheesy-han, I planned a lunch date with Max. Despite my hectic schedule, pinilit 'kong i-block ang araw na 'to for my girl.

But the subject of my love and admiration is still yet to arrive on our meeting place.

After six years of being a couple, dapat sanay na 'ko sa walang-pakundangang hazardous time-table nya.

Hey, love. On my way already. Quit frowning, I can see you from here. :*

My frown got deeper.

On the way pa lang? I replied.

To which she texted back: I'm already within the area. May dinaanan lang ako. Give me fifteen minutes. Love you.

Within the area na pala siya, bakit hindi pa dumiretso dito? May mas importante pa ba sa date namin?

I took a deep breath, reminding myself of the promise I made years four years ago.

She has to be where the news is happening.

It may be naivety to the situation, pero during that time, I was crazy enough to accept everything she does. Besides, news writing is her dream. Sino ba 'ko para humadlang?

Kaya naman after four years of bearing with her spontaneous work activities, nasanay na 'ko late siya sa mga usapan namin, o kaya naman ay makansela ang mga lakad namin. Understanding and patience nga di'ba? Supportive boyfriend dapat.

Pero Valentine's ngayon eh. I can't help but feel cheated.

You're an employer; she's an employee. There's the difference.

Fine. I'm being irrational. But still. Ugh. Whatever.

I texted her again, guilty of too much complaining: Okay. Just get here safely. Love you more.
