Kellin's P.O.V:"Kellin...are you listening?", Dr.Graham asked, clicking her pen.
"Mhm", I mumbled.
"What do you see?", She asked.
"Who", I murmured.
"Who?", She asked.
"Who do I see, not what", I said.
"Kellin, in order to get past all this", she motioned to me, "you need to stop treating these things like they're real".
"Yeah yeah", I sighed.
"So, who do you see?", She asked.
"I see Shadow", I spoke quietly, looking over to where Shadow, a pale boy with dark eyes was looking at me.
He was my best friend.
"What is he doing?", Dr.Graham asked.
"Just sitting", I said.
"Okay, well Kellin, our time is up for this session, but dont forget to use the coping skills", She said.
I nodded and waved bye to her, then got up and walked out, Shadow following closely behind.
"What a bitch", he groaned.
"She's just trying to help", I shrugged.
"Is she?", he asked, staring at me.
"No".

The next day I went to school.
It was different for me this year because I wasn't homeschooled like usual.
"I hate this place", Shadow grumbled.
"Yeah, me too, but Mom makes me", I sighed, shoving my books into my locker.
I noticed a boy I hadn't seen around here walking by, looking confused.
He was tan, and had brown curly hair and chocolate eyes.
"Hey..um..I'm Vic, I'm new..Can you help me find my class?", he asked me.
Me...
No one here talks to me.
I looked at Shadow, smiling.
I opened my mouth to speak, but was cut off.
"I'll help you, Kellin's a basket case, come on", A boy named Alex dragged Vic away from me.
I frowned, kind of hurt.
Nothing new.
"Asshole, I swear I'll kill him", Shadow growled.
"It's fine", I sighed.
"No its not"."Shadow, I have school...", I frowned.
"Yeah, yeah..", he said and disappeared.
I closed my locker and began walking towards my first hour.
Basket Case...

"Hey! Kellin, right?", A familiar voice asked.
"Shadow?", I asked, turning around.
It was lunch now and I hadn't seen Shadow since this morning.
"No, it's Vic", Vic said, smiling at me.
"Oh, hey Vic..", I trailed off.
"You okay?", he asked.
"Yeah..Maybe Alex was right though, you shouldn't be talking to me, its kind of social suicide", I frowned.
"Why not? I like you, you seem cool. So consider me dead", he laughed.
"Consider me dead blah blah blah", Shadow's voice was in my head, mocking Vic.
"Can I sit?", he asked.
"Of course".
"So...can I ask you a question?", Vic asked, looking kind of nervous.
I nodded, taking a bite of my pizza.
"Why do people call you a basket case? I dont believe them...but I dont know why they say that either", he asked.
"Dont tell him".
"He just wants to hurt you".
"I have...problems, and they think I'm crazy", I said, being honest but vague.
"We all have problems. Anyways, I'm glad I have at least one friend here", he smiled.
"Who?", I asked, cocking my head in curiousity.
"You", he laughed.
"Me? I dont have friends", I said.
"Yeah, why dont you have friends?", he asked.
"I do...you just cant see them", I wasnt thinking when I spoke those words.
He looked at me confusedly.
"What do yo-", he began asking.
But I was already gone.
