"Riiiiinnnnnnnggggggggg"
"Riiiiiinnnnnnngggggggg"
I groan as I get up and turn off the alarm set for 5:30 am. Come on Shauna, time for a run!
I quickly change into a pair of shorts and a shirt. I tie my hair up into a high ponytail and slip into my sport shoes. As I open the door, I'm tackled to the ground with slobbery kisses from my dog, Archie.
"Okay, good morning to you too, Arch! Yes , I'm taking you along with me." I say as I try to escape from him jumping all over me.
He trails along beside me as I grab the keys and head out. Once we're out, I start jogging and he starts running at my pace too. Slowly, we break into a run. We do this everyday and trust me, Archie is the best running companion ever. Once he starts, he never stops.
We return home, puffing and panting. I check the time. 6:07 am. Okay, time to get ready for school. I go to my room and hop into the shower. I slip into a jeans and a purple top. I straighten my hair and put on some make up so that I dont look like a zombie and finally get out of me room.
A familiar scent greets me.
mmmmmm.....pancakes!
"Mom, have you made pancakes?" I say as i step into the kitchen.
" Yes, dear."
I scarf down the pancakes and get my car keys. "Mom, I'm leaving for school. Bye!"
"Bye! Take care!"
I get into my car and head to my best friend's house. I stop in front of her house and honk, signalling her that I'm here.
I wait for five minutes and honk again. No response. Typical Hannah. I pull out my phone and call her. She answers after a while. "Yes, yes..I'm coming. You're so impatient!"
"Yeah right. Exactly why all my teachers are annoyed with me coming late to school every single day." I counter.
Just then, she steps out of her house and jumps into my car. "Hi there!
I just scowl at her and continue driving. She shrugs and turns on the radio.
"..One day I'll stand with a crown on my head like a God, yeah like a God, With every step, no, i won't second guess what I want" I instantly recognize the lyrics to my favourite song.
"I WANNA BE LIKE KANYE!
I'LL BE THE KING OF ME ALWAYS!" We both shout out loud. Honestly, it's so difficult to be pissed at this weird monkey sitting beside me.
That just describes our friendship..we bicker on a daily basis, sometimes we can't tolerate each other, and we make it a point to insult each other at least once a day. But, at the end of the day, we don't know what we would do without each other. We have been friends since we were five, so our bond is basically unbreakable. Hannah has always been my support system, no matter what.
I pull into the parking lot and park my car. As we both get out of the car, we see a group of guys hanging around. My eyes instantly land on Brandon Jones, the bad boy of our school. He looks at me and smiles. I blush. "You like him a lot, don't you?" Hannah asks.
" Yeah..but unfortunately, I don't date players."
"Oh come on! You never know, you could be the love of his life, and after seeing you, he will never look at any other girl, and you could be his damnation and his salvation..." She rambles on. "Please get out of your fairyland, Hannah. Things like that don't happen."
" Okay..as you say."
We walk towards our classes. "Okay, meet you at lunch."
"Yeah."
I enter my English class and settle down. The teacher enters the class and I get engrossed in my work.
