The Young sacrifice

Our world is slowly falling apart, in a way it always has been. There are reports all over the news of the tragic deaths caused by the disease that won't stop spreading. Most borders between countries have been closed. scientist are frantic trying to find a way that we can save our home planet, but maybe it's already too late. Maybe the world was already dead. All around me there are adults dying from the disease, soon I will be all alone my mother is dying she is infected. Infected with a disease that has no found cure. The scientists are puzzled about why this new found deadly disease only affects adults.

The scientist all said they were so close finding out the cause of this disease, and that once they found the cause it would bring them so much closer to a cure. 2 Week past and there was still no news, the scientist said that they were missing something. They said all they needed was the key to why only some adults were getting infected and why most kids seem to be immune. They said the key to a cure was within us kids.

I thought all of this was a load of crap that the president was feeding people to give them hope but boy was I wrong. When the scientist said they needed a key they meant they needed what was inside if us children, kids like me that no one would miss. The key was within us kids.

I was taken just 4 days after my mother died. I was an orphan someone that was expendable. They told everyone that after my mother died that I went mad, so for my own and the safety of others around me they would take me somewhere safe. Yes, I was mad but not the way they portrayed me to be I was not crazy!, but I was mad that the world had taken my mother from me just 2 years after taking my brother. It was not fair. What also wasn't fair is that the men that picked took me from my home were bigger than me and stronger than me and I couldn't do anything to stop them.
