Chapter 1

The sun shines brightly. The sunlight entered passing through the glass window in my bedroom. The dark has fade away, here comes the morning. I'm Lee Chae Ri, just a girl who want to live in an ordinary life.

I groaned out of frustration as my private secretary entered my room and slides my curtain which covering the sunlight. I'm 17 by the way.

I have 1 older brother and 1 older sister. I don't even know why I'm calling her my sister; she is my step older sister. Anyway, We all have our own secretary but my secretary is special because i was the one who hired her, secretly. She was once homeless, she was abandoned by her parents because of the lack of money which caused the parents to not be able to pay her living. Her name is Kim Ji Soo. She was smart, pretty and kind yet she was broken like me.

I am the youngest daughter of Lee family, we are from Korea, however, we moved to America 5 years ago. My dad owned lots of land, arenas which usually used for concerts and Olympics, hotels, malls. Although, we have branch in several countries especially in Seoul, we decided to stay in America to forget bad memories we had in our country.

I once was a happy girl, I was praised and respected by people due to my brain, beauty, talents. However, my mom passed away when i was 11 years old. She passed away exactly in front of me due to heart problems. Even now, i couldn't forget that scenes. It was raining pretty hard, i heard loud noises coming from the sky, that day, the day where all my happiness faded away in just a minute.

I cried every night, getting nightmares when the season changed. The raining season was once my favorite but it became something i disliked the most. It was hard for me to sleep at night, the noises were getting on my nerves. Each time, i heard the noises, sudden flashbacks came onto me. Sometimes my older brother will sleep in my room to comfort me. It was hard, really hard yet i need to keep smile as the women once told me 'People said that girl need to cry, need a shoulder to lean on but a girl need to be strong as well. Even though, she is hurting inside, she need to keep her smile on, because, that is when a girl reaches her prettiest states. Honey, no matter what happens in the future, you need to care for your surroundings, if you have friend who is having a hard time, help them. Because, we are just human, we need each other to survive. If you are having hard time, if you want to cry, never show your weak spot to others. Lock your door and cry out loud but if you one day found someone who truly love you. You then can cry on his shoulder because he is going to be the warm in your winter, your cool in summer, your comforts in pain, your light in the dark' . The women was my Mom, she was the reason why i have talents on musics, composing, dancing. She taught me every single day when Dad was out for work. I missed her. I really do.

I thought that Dad was going to be a loyal husband. Although, Mom has gone, i thought that he won't find any other woman to replace Mom. I was totally wrong. Really wrong. He found himself a woman who obviously never even once loved him. She agreed on marrying him due to wealth. She was no different with her daughter which now became my older sister. They were mean. Every time, my Dad and my older brother went for work, they always asked me to do things which i knew that the works were supposed to be theirs. I always wanted to tell about it to my Dad but i had no courage. However, my older brother knew everything, he protected me and over time he became such an overprotective brother and I was really thankful for that.
