I sat on the beach feeling the sand in between my fingers and listening to the waves wash by. I lay down and closed my eyes then I heard someone singing. It sounded soft, calm and warm.
"Every little glance my way, every time you wanted to hang. You seemed so interested, could you tell me, was it real or was it all in my head" I opened my eyes and sat up to see Shaw. Sitting next to me..
"How did you-"
"I was going to knock on your door to apologise for being such and arse to you today but then I heard your beautiful voice and how meaningful the words meant and I didn't know that you felt for me in that way but then I understood! So I left.. I didn't want to upset you"
"So I guess you figured out who the song was about?"
"Not me" he said sarcastically which made me smile.
"Yes you! dumb arse! You must of felt the connection between us from the moment we met! We became so close so quickly and discovered we had so much in common and then one day you started speaking to another girl the way you spoke to me and wondered why I wasn't speaking to you? You made me really angry and I looked like the fool... I thought you loved me Shawn!"
"Who said I never?"
"Then why did you act so close to Charlotte?"
"Becky if I didn't love you, I wouldn't do this"
"Do w-" I was interrupted by Shawn grabbing my face and putting his fingers through my hair while he kissed me and we both slowly lay down on the beach still kissing as he grabbed my waist! It was amazing. His lips are so soft and I bit his bottom lip.
"Come home babe! You can't stay here all night! "
"Why can't i?" I said winding him up
"Oh is it like that?" He said running towards me and swinging me over his shoulder!
"PUT ME DOWN!!" I said and he started tickling me and it giggled and wriggled my way down to the ground again and we both walked home holding hands the way we used to!
"Do you forgive me?"
"Of course I do Shawn!!! And I forgot to mention how amazing your voice is!"
"You know Becky! When I first met you and we had that moment when we stared into each other's eyes you made me feel so good about myself and you looked so beautiful and you get prettier by every day that passes!!!"
"I don't understand though, What is this between you and Charlotte?"
"Oh nothing it was just a little fling. Don't worry I don't speak to her anymore anyway"
We stopped outside Shawn's house! Well, you know it's Saturday tomorrow. You doing anything?"
"Nope! Im free all day!!"
"Well then, I have a surprise for you! Get dressed into something casual and meet me outside my house for 12pm"
"Sounds like a date!" I said
"Sure is!" Shawn replied tickling me.
He then slowly and softly kissed me again. His kisses are amazing!!! "Goodnight Becky, love you gorgeous!"
"Love you more Shawn!"
