The sky was beautiful that day, It almost seemed like paint across the sky as the white of the clouds mixed with the orange sky. Lucine always adored the look of the sky, but today, there was something different about it. She looked at it with her big green eyes and a smile grew across her face. Lucine was a tall girl, taller then most people she met in her life, and had long, shining black hair, her skin as pale as you would only expect from a vampire or a ghost. She wore a black T-shirt with patterns of skulls and roses on it aswell as short, denim jeans.

She took her time walking back home from school today in her large, black boots. She wasn't exactly the most sociable person around, but it didn't matter as not many people even tried to approach her. There was the occasional stranger who'd greet her but she never listened, she was to busy listening to music with her big, steampunk styled headphones.Usually the walk back home from school isn't a long one, but today she just felt tired and took her time walking back home.

Eventually, an hour later she arrived at home and slammed the door open with her keys she kept in her pocket. "I'm home!" She shouted out as she opened the door, and instead of being greeted by her parents with warm hugs and kisses, there was only the sound of sobbing. Lucine looked around confused and realised the stairway heading upstairs was covered in blood, she stared at it blank mindedly before snapping back into reality. As the sudden realization had hit her she ran up the stairs, almost tripping on the blood, and instinctively ran to her parents room.

As she went up the stairs she looked at the blood closer and made the assumption that the body was dragged upstairs based on the trail it made, but she didn't want to focus on that right now, she just wanted to find her parents, or even any other human contact.

She ran to her fathers door, where the blood trail lead to, and she heard the sobbing and slammed it open. "MUM, DAD!", she shouted, entering the room in horror. She looked over to her father who was holding her mother in his big, muscular arms. He returned a look back at her and said in a soft, almost regretful tone "She...she is gone..."
