The service was just the way you would expect it to be, people wearing dark clothing, some crying and some laughing, trying to comfort eachother. Lucines father was walking around offering people snacks made by her aunt. Her aunt seemed to be one of the most sorrowful people at the service, which shocked Luicine as she only came to visit about three times a year, somethimes even less. The service took place in their back yard, Lucine sat at her window and looked down at everyone. She did not wish to speak to anyone right now, she felt tears crawl slowly out her eyes as she stared blankly into the yard but quickly wiped them away.
There was a sudden knock on the door and Lucine swung her head quickly to stare at it, something just didn't feel right to her, something was off. She waited a while to see If the knock would come again, it took about two minutes before the knock came again, this time Lucine's vission had left her for a second then returned. She was startled and started breathing heavy and realized her heart beat had risen, she called out,
"Who is it?"
"A friend of your mothers..." responded a voice in a cold and chilling tone
"I'm sorry, I'm not in the mood to talk" she said in a shakey voice, she felt a sudden burst of fear crawl down her spine
"Let me in..." the voice said in an almost dead sounding toneShe felt her hand leave the window sill and urge to the door, she grabbed it and tried to stop it but...she couldn't. Her hand grabbed the cold, metalic door knob, and as she turned it the door creaked open to nothing but darkness. Lucine looked out the door way and looked, trying to find any sort definitive shape, but there was nothing to be found but a void. She closed the door and fell to her knees, she felt a weakness in her body, almost as if her bones were collapsing, and she just stared at the door.
"It was awfully rude to leave me outside like that..." said the cold voice, in a almost playful tone
Lucine did not react, but simply responded in a blank tone, "What do you want with me?..."
The voice chuckled, "No dear, I am not here to cradle you away in my arms yet...but simply, to warn you..."
Lucine sighed, not thinking logically anymore, "Death?...is that you?"(More coming)
