We were far onto the forest now, when it hit my mother. "The books." She whispered. "The books, they can't get the books." Just then she began to run, back to the house back to the books. We had to follow her, I wouldn't leave my mom to die.
So we traveled back. Passing the same trees as we came. Back to to the wretched house, in the wretched town, in the wretched, overpopulated kingdom.
We arrived in at the break of dawn, with the bright sun hovering over the trees. The village looked darker now, after my father left. Both of us walked up to the small house, and opened the creaking door, everything looked as if nothing happened. My mom and I went to the book room, while I packed essentials for the journey ahead of us. We quickly gathered the books, (which the government clearly forgot about) then crept out the back door of the house, ready for the journey that awaits us.
