"Stiles, hey, wait up..." I say, almost jogging to reach his step.
"Uh, what?" He says waiting for me.
"Heh, uh, you dropped this." I say, handing him a paper.
"How do you know my name?"
"It's on the paper." I mumble, pointing to it.
"O-oh... I knew that.." He murmured, looking a little embarrassed, as his cheeks grew with a rosey pink.
"Derek, Derek Hale, but you can just call me... Derek, I guess." I say politely, putting my hand out, gesturing a handshake.
"Stiles Stillinski. Call me Stiles..." He said, in a hushed voice, grabbing my hand and shaking it.
His hands are really warm and soft.
He looked up at me.
Wow... His eyes.... Whoa...
I widen my eyes and realise that this handshake has been too long and now it's awkward even more so, now that I'm staring at him. I jerk my hand away.
"Heh.. Well, do you need a ride home?" I hesitantly ask. Trying to break the awkward tension.
"Uh... S-sure.. I guess." He said and pulled his backpack onto his shoulders more. I half smiled at that.
I click the button and hear my car unlock.
"Here we are. Your chariot awaits, kind sir." I say, bowing as I open his door.
He chuckles and I feel another smile come across my face.I close the door once he's in and then get in, on my side.
"Where to?"
"Uh, you can just drive if you want. My dad won't be home for a while, an all I have to do is homework." He mumbles, getting comfortable in the passenger's seat.
I don't understand what's happening to me. I'm straight. I'm straighter than straight. I'm as straight as it comes.... But seeing him comfortable in my car... I barely know him. Why am I like this? It's probably just that burrito from lunch.
"Uh, yeah, sure." I finally say.
"We don't have to..." He sinks into the seat, bowing his head a little.
"No, no. I-I want to..."
Oh my god. He looked so sad I could actually hug him.
"Oh, okay... But why?" He looked at me confused.
I felt my face getting red.
"Uh, I don't know. Wanna come over to my house and get something to eat?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure."
