PROLOGUE

I saw Aditya standing above the cliff. His face was tranquil. His eyes were focused on something I didn't see.

"Aditya," I cried. He looked at me hundred feet below, trying to scramble up the hill. He could here me fine. It is because of that wretched chemical that his abilities were enhanced. Not to mention the terrible curse it had given him. Harshita was following me.

He held out his hand to warn us. I didn't heed it. "I'm sorry," I screamed to him. I couldn't see his face from here. But I could see his face turning to the other side, looking down again.

"Aditi, fast," said my friend Harshita. I picked on speed not caring even a bit about the scratches the plants were giving me. I reached halfway through the hill. I saw him disappearing from our view.

"NO," I screamed as a lump formed in my throat.
