*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*
"Ugh, really? Was I up all night planning?" You say out loud as you get up. You turn your alarm off and realize that Heather and Lyla are no where in sight. You shrug it off and go towards the kitchen to get some coffee and as tired as you are you manage not bump into anything*impressive*. "LYLA! WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR COFFEE?" You yell, "COMING! SORRY I WAS IN THE BATHROOM UPSTAIRS!" (Okay, I'll just wait here.)

Lyla comes down the stairs, "Hey, sorry." She walks up and kisses you while getting you a cup. You shove her off, "Lyla, stop. Your gonna break the cup. And where were you? And where is Heather?" She shrugs her shoulders, "I told you I was in the bathroom upstairs."
"Right," I begin, "and where is Heather."
She pauses, " Um, she's, uh, she left." You think for a minute ," Huh Uh, that's not like her to just leave without saying goodbye, that's not Heather." Lyla makes herself and you coffee," I know." You take a sip and firmly put down your mug, "Truth, Lyla, now."

Lyla is obviously surprised by your tone, "Um, babe, your not seriously mad about this are you?" You nod and give a slight laugh, " Uh, yes. Yes I'm seriously mad. For all I know you could've been having sex with Heather or to paraphrase you were cheating on me with Heather. My best friend!"

Lyla's face softens and her voice becomes gentle, "Oh, Evelyn, babe, your not actually mad are you?," She starts caressing your arm but you push her away. She immediately gets the hint, "Oh," she puts her hand to her mouth and her eyes tear up, "Evelyn, I am-" she starts crying and in tears she manages to choke up
" I'm so sorry."

You just look at her, "No, no, it's fine," You start to tear up and start gathering your things. You head to the door and reach for the doorknob when Lylas voice stops you, "Wait, Evelyn. What about our date?" You shake your head, "No, don't worry about it, I don't think we'll need to worry about it." You feel her touch and flinch, "I know this isn't your fault, but, goodbye." She reaches for you again. "I said Goodbye." You exit her house and don't look back.
