Right before I open the door I hear my cell phone ring.
"Hello?" I say picking up
"I'm sorry Leone. I told Roman about the baby. It just slipped out, and now he's heading your way. Please don't hate me." She says
"What?.......You know what it's okay. I know you're married to his cousin and it would have been wrong for me to let you keep that big of a secret. Thanks for the heads up." I say to her calming down
"I'm sorry and call me if anything." She says
"I will bye." I say shutting the phone
After I shut the phone. I pretend not to hear the door but Roman won't quit.
"I will be here all night if you don't talk to me." He says
"And watch the neighbors call the police on your ass" I say as I sit on the couch and turn on the tv, increasing the volume
"On second thought......" He says as he remains silent for 10 seconds until I hear keys going through the door
I forgot that I told him about the extra key in the soil of the plant by the door a few months before the falling out when I told him instead of going to a hotel the next time he came to New York, he could of came to my house.
"Dammit" I say running to the door to stop him
We begin wrestling with the door.
"Roman just leave me alone" I say while grunting
" You shouldn't be putting yourself under this stress, its not good for the baby." He says while putting one foot through the door as I try to close it
"Why don't you just leave me alone" I say letting go of the door crying
I then try to walk to the bathroom but Roman grabs my hand.
"Come here!" He says while pulling me towards him, attempting to hug me
"No,No get of off me. You realize you ruined my life. You made me quit a job I worked my ass off to be in, you made me do one thing I said I wouldn't do and that's having an affair with a married man and don't even give me that crap about you guys not being married yet. And now I'm pregnant with your child.....a guy that belongs to another woman's child, out of wedlock. But in the end I have no one to blame but myself because I should of know you never loved me, you only loved yourself." I say while banging my arms on his chest while crying
"Come here" He says while wrapping his arms around me
"No,noo!!" I say while resisting but eventually falling into his arms
"I'm sorry for what I did to you. I was selfish and stupid, and a total ass hole and I understand if you never want to talk to me again but I still love you and I want to be in our baby's life. I told her about us and I told her that I was in love with you and that I wanted to be with you, I broke it off with her and I know it was something I should of done long time ago but I did it for my daughter's sake." He explains as he releases the hug to look me in the eyes
" If you told her about us then I want to talk to her." I say while folding my arms
"And I will let you talk to her but now is not the best time." He says while both of his hands cups my face
"I'm serious as hell right now. Its either I talk to her now or I will never talk to her or you for that matter?" I say while wiping the tears of my face and removing his hands
"Let me sleep on it and I'll get back to you. " He says to me
"Sure why don't you" I say sarcastically
"I love you" He says attempting to kiss me
I turn my head dismissing his kiss.
"I guess I deserved that" He says opening the door to leave
After he steps out I slam it shut.
"You deserve that and much more." I say walking to my bedroom to go to bed.
"I have a long flight ahead of me tomorrow." I say to myself as I get in the bed and turn of the lights
I planned to go to Florida to face Roman's fiancee. After everything that transpired she needed answers as well as I did and I wasn't going to stop until I got them. I was tired of Roman telling me one thing and his actions explaining another, it was time to get to the bottom of this situation.
It came morning and I boarded a flight to Pensacola,Florida. I got on the plane around 9 am and got there around 12 pm. It took me an 45 minutes to get to their house. When I arrived it was a decent family home with a little girls bike I knew that was for Roman's daughter hanging outside and I had second thoughts about going but knew ultimately , I came there for a reason. I knocked on the door a few times until his Fiancee opened the door with Alani watching cartoons behind her.
"Hello...I know you know who I'am" I say looking her straight in the eyes
And so it begins......
