-Arielle's POV;
**Flashback**
"What a fucking rush!" my inner self thought, as I whipped the white powder from my nose, adrenaline coursing through my body. I laughed, leaning back on the couch as I took in my surroundings.
To my left sat my best friend, Miles. He was giving me a weird look as he took the straw from my hands and leaned down to snort his line. I ran my fingers through my hair, crossing my legs.
"Fuck." I heard him mutter as he dropped the straw, beginning to while his nose. I felt a smirk dancing on the corner of my lips as I stretched across the couch for my bag, pulling out the tiny bottle of pills and bag of Cocaine.
"You're doing more?" Miles had whispered, handing me the straw. I nodded at him, tapping out another line of the white powder as I smiled.
He shook his head, causing me to roll my eyes. "Don't be a pussy, Miles. We'll be fine. Just take these and you won't remember a thing." To be honest, I wasn't even sure what pills I had handed him. I bought them off my older brothers friend.
"Arielle, I don't-" he cut off, and shook his head before grabbing the straw from me and placing it at the beginning of the line as he plugged one of his nostrils with his free hand before inhaling and snorting both the lines I had set up.
I clapped, throwing my arms around him as he coughed, and sniffles a bit. "There ya go, Miles! I told you it wasn't that ba-" I cut off as I looked him up and down, his nose was bleeding and I couldn't fathom why.
"Hey, Miles, are you-" I whispered, cutting myself off as I saw his body begin shaking and he fell to the floor. He reached for me, begging me to help him with his eyes. Fuck, what did you do you moron! My self conscious shot at me.
"Miles! No, stop its not funny. Get up." I felt tears brimming as I saw his hand drop to the floor and his body go limp. I threw myself to the ground, pushing on his chest.
"Miles, please get up.." The tears were stinging my eyes as I forced myself to focus on his face, it looked pale. And his nose still had blood running out of it. I gripped his shirt as I dug for my phone in my purse.
"I'll get you help, you'll be okay, Miles. You have to be. You aren't dead. You're just sleeping for now. It's okay, rest, baby." I whispered, brushing his hair out of his face.
"911, what's your emergency?" The females voice was distant, and I could barely understand her as I dropped my phone and felt a tear slide down.
"He's dead.." I muttered, laying my head on his chest as I heard the rambling of the women's voice. It felt like hours were passing and I still couldn't understand what was happening.
I heard sirens off in the distance as I gripped my best friends shirt tighter, the tears rushing down my face now. "You killed him, you dumb bitch. He wanted to stop. But you told him everything was going to be okay." My inner self shouted at me, causing me to flinch.
Everything went blurry as I heard footsteps coming up the porch steps and the door being pushed open as the sound of radios, and voices filled the room.
I felt arms pull me up as I watched a man drape a sheet over my best friends lifeless body, I couldn't stop shaking. What had I just done?
