As Wiz and Bix were walking back to the village, they discussed what had just happened. They debated whether to tell the village about the Grizzly Bear and the mysterious man that came to their aid.
"The village would not believe us. They would think it was a story we had made up." Wiz said.
"Speaking of the village, there it is!" Bix yelled with excitement. They ran to the back of the gathering that signaled that dinner was being served. One man turned around and saw them and looked surprised to see them.
"There you two are! We' ve been looking everywhere for you two. Where have you two been all day?" the man asked.
"We were in the meadow all day," Bix said and hesitated for a moment before continuing, "We encountered a grizzly bear and some man came and saved us and killed it." The man looked taken aback but did not call them a liar or even tell them that they had a big imagination or anything you would expect an adult to say to two children.
"Really?! Im glad the two of you are ok. I've heard of them running through these woods and the meadow but I've never actually seen one. you must have been scared out of your wits," the man said to them.
"Here," the woman serving the food said as she handed each of them a bowl of soup and a spoon. The boys took the bowl and told her thank you as they went to eat.
