Dream.

Let it be a dream.

I'll wake up. I'll be safe. I'll have no worries, I'll be on my feet, everything will be stable. It will all just be a dream.

Fantasy land.

The bruises, the marks, the scars, they're all gone. It will all be just a dream.

Just a dream

Just a-

"Y/N!"

My head snapped sideways, clearing my throat and my eyelashes fluttering.

I was in another world again.

"Aghh, you were out of it again! Stop doing that. It's so scary...! Who knows what you're thinking about? You could be planning murder for all I know-"

"Stop blabbering." I sighed, rolling my eyes at my companion. I watched as her once smile curled into a frown, a small pout forming on her lips.

"You're so stern now, Y/N. More than before." She huffed, picking up her bag and walking away from our lunch table, leaving me to sit on my own.

'Stern'? I don't think that's the correct word to use for my behavior, right? I just don't want to be bothered. Everything is different. People change. Things happen and it's sometimes for the best, or even for the worst. That's life.

"Need a friend, princess?" A familiar cold, quiet voice called.

I looked up to see Yoongi hovering over me, his backpack shouldered and an eyebrow raised. I couldn't help but let out yet another sigh, nodding my head. He sat down in the seat which my friend used to before, resting his chin in the palm of his hand.

"You look so tired. Get much sleep last night?" He wondered, tapping his index finger on his cheek.

I shook my head.

"That's not like you, princess. Maybe you should-"

"Can you stop calling me that? I'm not a god damn princess. Call me by my name, Min Yoongi. Thank you."

"Sheesh," he gasped, clearly taken aback at my sudden outlash, "you really are not yourself today. Anyway, are we still up for that study date today? Your house, right?"

"Yes. But  this time, try not to make too much of a mess in my room, okay? I spent an hour cleaning up your wrappers. I'm never giving you my candy box again." A faint smile appeared on my face at the thought.

"Blame yourself. You're the one who gave me the box! Why do you even have it?"

I inhaled softly, a small blush of embarrassment spreading across my cheeks. "Girl stuff. Stop questioning it."

"Whatever. Listen, lunch is about to end, I'm gonna go and hide in the toilets. I'll catch you after school." Yoongi stood and waved goodbye as he wandered off, soon vanishing from sight.

It's amazing how much Yoongi has changed from the 5 months I've known him. I never thought I would befriend him, but he wouldn't leave me alone - I kind of had to. Of course I remember the past, but he hates it when I bring it up. Sometimes I use it against him, reminding him of it when I want something from him. Though, I do it only very rarely. He gets angry when I do, and it's...something else. I don't want to be close to him when he is angry. As I'm familiar with his strength, I don't want events to repeat again. I still have the marks to remember, but I ignore them. But since then, Yoongi has become soft. He scared me when he first joined the school, but now I feel like I can call him a close friend.
