Only to see her crush Erik standing there on his phone with a sign in his hand, which was unreadable. As she was staring at the window in wonder she heard her home phone ring down stairs. As she ran down there she realized who ever it was they must have called several times because by the time she got there it had been ringing for a couple minutes. When she got the phone in her hand the caller ID said "unknown" but besides the feeling in her stomach she answered it anyway. "Hhhello?" She answered studering
"Um yes hello, is this miss Nattily Johnson?" The deep voice asked.
Nattily not knowing how to answer said " Ummm well I might be she but who is this first?" As she asked the question the door bell rang and the caller said "You better answer that." As he said this she popped her head slowly around the corner of her kitchen to look through a crack to the door entry. She could not believe her eyes there he was Erik her crush was standing on the other side of her door just waiting. As she approached the door he was showing nervousness and started to scratch behind his neck. When she opened the door the sign he had been holding earlier was still in his hands and it said " Nattily will you go to the dance with me?! " As she looked at him then at the sign she realized that he was looking super nervous and kinda looking like he wanted an answer. She stepped aside and let him in. As he stepped in the house he repeated the question " Natilly with you please come to the dance with me?" As she finished the question Nattily said nicely " I would love to go to the dance with you." When she finished the sentence Eriks green eyes light up and started to twinkle and a smile from one ear to the other appeared. As he came near her to hug her Nattily's parents pulled into the drive way right when Erik started to hug her. As her parents got out of the car it took not even a minute for them to come charging into the house with unreadable face expressions. As Erik knew what was coming stopped hugging her and shook both Nattily's moms hand and her dads hand introducing himself. Now both her mom and dads expressions were visible. Her moms face showed excitement and happiness while her dads showed sternness. When Erik finished shaking their hands Nattilys mom said " So Erik I see by the sign you have asked my daughter to the dance?! " As she had finished those words Nattlys dad tensed up. " Yes I have asked her to the dance and she said yes." Erik ended with a great big smile. There was an awkward silence or at least until Nattily's mom said "well we will be in touch to plan the out fits and everything" and nudged him out the door and into his car. As he pulled out of the drive way he waved good bye and his car turned the corner and out of sight.
