I moved around in bed, still tired but half of me was starting to wake up. I couldn't go back to full sleep mode, so I just woke up completely. Feels like I heard a voice in my mind saying, "Rise and shine, sleeping beauty!"
I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked out the window, and the sunshine was pouring though the window. Not literally.
I got up and went to the kitchen, seeing that my friends were already awake.
"After all that staying up and eating candy at four in the morning, you guys are perfectly fine and awake? Wow." I mumbled.
"Well maybe it's the situation where I stayed up all night!" Aryl said and stood up, as if getting no sleep was a good thing...
"She's the only one that dared to stay up all night," Cierra, another friend of mine and owner of the house we're in said. "Since she's a show off..."
Aryl glared at Cierra and said loudly,
"I'm not a show-off! I just like showing everyone what I can do... okay yeah I'm definitely a show-off."
I giggled and pushed my bang out of my face.
"So, when are you gonna pick a school, Tarri?" Cierra looked at me.
"Eh... I've been thinking about going to that popular school down the street..." I replied.
"Wait, Carriay Alicol Middle School? That place is HUGE!" Aryl threw her arms in the air playfully.
"Well, yeah... Why not go to that school? Plus, I plan to serve as a Math teacher." I put my hand on my chest, acting to be proud.
"Well, I think that school would be perfect for you. And, you're teaching 6th Grade kids! 7th and 8th are worse than them, take it from me..." Cierra said as she rolled her eyes. I nodded, and looked over. Seems like I wasn't the last one awake. "Morning..." My bigger sister yawned, and stumped into the living room slowly.
"Are you okay? Do you need more slee-" "I stayed up all night because Cierra and Aryl thought, 'Hey, yelling and throwing crap at everyone in the house is a great idea for a party, and totally not bothering if we do it from 1 am 'till 5!' " She said sternly, cutting me off straight away AND giving Cierra and Aryl her "I temporarily hate you" glare. When ever she gives me that glare, it feels like just by staring me in the face she can see everything inside of me. Just the thought of it gives me chills. "Maybe when you guys invited, you should've crossed off 'sleep' in 'sleepover'." I heard a short growl in her voice, and she slugged into the kitchen, angrier than she was when she came out. Well then.
"Well that happened... So, back to the school business." Aryl glanced down the hallway and looked back at me, clasping her hands together.
"Is there much left to talk about? Summer's almost over and I'm just planning to fill in for a math teacher at C.A.M.S.." I shrugged. "Pfft, 'Cams'...." Cierra giggled. Aryl seemed to think for a moment, but then she sprang up. I really wanna know, how in the world does this girl have all this energy?! She looked like she was about to blurt something out, but she slumped and shrugged, tricking us. "I'm hungry." She smirked, probably aware that she tricked us, and walked to the kitchen. By the way, we're all in Cierra's house. Her house is pretty big. Soon, I started to think about what I said earlier..."Summer's almost over"...!
I realized and collapsed on the ground, and yelled, "NOOO!!! Why?!" My big sister, Skyla, looked in. She looked at me like I was drunk or something. "Why are you screaming?" She raised an eyebrow. I looked at her and frowned a bit. "Summer! It's almost already over! It's August, and everything for summer is being taken down, just for school..." I said, but only in my head... if I said that out loud she REALLY would've think, "She's drunk."
Why? Well, normally I don't act like a kid that hates school. But, summer is my favorite season. WHY WOULD NOBODY BE UPSET THAT IT'S ENDING, ADULT OR NOT?!
Maybe I'm just too hysterical right now. It's just a few weeks till it's gone, relax... I tried comforting myself in my
head. I got up and walked into the kitchen with everyone else, Cierra following behind me. Siiigh....
