A year only passed when Moana traveled across the sea with her friend and demi god Maui. But today was something that made her sad. Today was the day when she said goodbye to Maui. Little did she know at first she would miss him but now she missed him terribly. And she grew feelings for him.

"Oh, Maui...if you only know how I feel about you." She said to herself. She was staring out at the horizon when she felt a strong but, warm gentle hand on her shoulder. "Leave me alone Dad." She said trying to release the grip on her shoulder. But it did not loosen. "Dad, I said let g-" She said facing the the person behind her.

"Nice to see you too, princess." Said the voice with a tease. She gasped. "Maui..." She said breathlessly. He gave her a genuine smile. "Hey, Curly." He teased. She smiled and threw her arms around his neck. He smiled widely and she started to cry with tears of joy. "I've missed you so much." She muttered in his ear. She missed him. He held her a little tighter.

"I've missed you too, princess." He said with gently laugh. Now-" He said pulling back and setting her down. She sniffled and he wiped the tears away from her cheeks. "How do you feel about me Curly?" He said with a cocked brow and a cocky grin. Moana's checks grew a crimson red. She backed up and Maui stepped closer.

"I-I don't know what you are talking about!" She said quickly. She backed up and lost her balance. Maui caught her by her hand. He pulled her up and held her by the waist. "Oh really?" He asked moving his face closer to hers. "N-n-no!" She lied. His face was nearing towards hers. "You wanna know what I think?" He asked slyly.

Her eyes grew wide. "I think you're hiding something from me, Mo." His face a few inches away from hers. She swallowed hard. "Yes, I am hiding something." She said quietly. He smiled triumphantly. "You want to know how I feel about you?" She asked. He nodded his head once.

She sighed as she did something the demi god did not expect. She pushed herself up and her lips met his. Maui's eyes grew at the strange sensation as her lips met with his. It was like a huge wave of relief come crashing down. She pulled back and looked away from him. "That's what I feel about you." She said quietly. He blinked and looked at her. "I understand if you don't feel the same way." She said softly.

His grip around her waist tightened as he brought one hand to her cheek. "Moana...look at me." She faced him but she did not meet his eyes. He kissed her forehead and he got her attention. She looked at him. He smiled as he slowly placed his lips on hers. Her eyes grew wide as she felt his lips on hers once again. Slowly she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck.

The kiss was soft and gentle at first. Then it grew passionate. The two pulled apart as they caught their breath. They leaned on each others foreheads and smiled. They looked at one another.

"Please...don't leave me." She said sadly. Maui picked her up and threw over his shoulder. She started to laugh. He chuckled and walked back to her hut. He set her down on the mat and sat next to her. "Wouldn't dream of it, Curly." He smiled. She smiled back before she crawled up in his lap. She placed her head in his shoulder. "Promise?" She mumbled.

He placed a kiss on the top of her head. "Promise." He mumbled back. She traced his tattoo's and smiled as she saw Little Maui wave at her. She placed a small kiss on his neck and he shivered from head to toe. She looked up at him. He looked down at her. She smiled and her face lit up.

'What?" He asked. "Let's go in a sailing trip! You know catch up with each other!" She said jumping out of his lap. "Woah, woah, woah! Slow down Princess." He chuckled. She looked at him with big puppy eyes. "Now don't give me those eyes! Not the big sad eyes!" He said looking away from her. She smiled a smug grin. She sat on his lap and made her eyes more bigger and more sad.

"Gahh! All right, all right!!! We can go sailing. But enough with the eyes already!" He said giving in. She giggled. "Thank you!" She said giving him a kiss on his cheek. "You're welcome." He said in a sing song voice. "Shut up." She said laying her head in his chest. He chuckled. She grew tired by the minute.

"Maui?" She asked sleepily. "Yeah?" He mumbled into her hair. "I love you." She said as she fell asleep. He smiled and he kissed her forehead. "Heh, I love you too, curly." He mumbled. He lied down on the mat carefully not waking the sleeping beauty. He placed a blanket over the two of them. She woke up and smiled.

"Sorry! Did I wake you?" He asked. She only smiled. "No, I woke up on my own. Now where do you wanna go?" She asked. Maui leaned on his elbow as she placed her arms around his neck. "How about Te Fiti?" He asked. She grinned. "Te Titi it is." She said.

He leaned closer to her. "Its going to be a two week trip." He taunted. "I know. " She said leaning in. "Two whole weeks with me playing pranks." He said getting closer. "Thats enough time for us to catch up..." She said her lips ghosting over his. "Two long weeks." He said. "I know but do you know what's the best part?" She asked tauntingly. "What?" He teased. "I get to spend two whole weeks, with the man I love." She said. Maui made the first move and brushed his lips against hers.

Moana gave in and returned the kiss. It started out soft but grew more passionate. Maui held her waist and cupped her cheek. Once she pulled back she smiled. "Sleep. Now." She said poking a demanding finger into his chest. He let out a laugh. "As you command, princess." He said placing a kiss on her forehead. She smiled and rolled her eyes. He lied down and Moana placed her head on his chest. "Goodnight Maui." She mumbled. "Goodnight, Curly." He muttered. "I missed you..." She said trailing off into a deep sleep. He smiled holding her close. "I missed you too." He said closing his eyes.
