With his henchwoman by his side on the passenger seat, the man with the narrow face and pinched nose followed the woman from the moment she left her workplace in Quantico, Virginia. As her car sped down the highways towards New York, his car followed behind. He was careful not to be detected, his car a nondescript Subaru, soccer mom style. From a distance, he watched her drive; she was purposeful, but careful at the same time. He had been following Emily Prentiss himself or having her followed since her return from England and her change from Interpol back to the BAU. In fact, he had kept tabs on all BAU members, current and past. He liked toying with them, since it was so difficult to find worthy opponents.
The BAU core group had changed since they had run into him and disrupted his revenge spree against those responsible for his father's arrest and murder. Revenge is serious business, not to be trifled with. Whoever stepped into his way had a price to pay, and the BAU was paying dearly for their interference.
First, the head of the team, Hotchner, had to give up his life in the FBI and disappear into Witness Protection. That was his first installment and he would pay the remainder later.
Then, it was fun to play with Dr. Tara Lewis, his namesake. Her brother was an easy target. All broken people were easy targets in one way or another; their past always caught up with them and made them available for play. Her fake brother had her twisting in the wind.
Then, young Dr. Reid was now in lock-up, where he would stay for a long, long time, and no privileges, no protective custody of any kind. Soon he would be either dead or insane, either one was fine with Peter, as long as he suffered and made the other BAU teamsters suffer, too.
In fact, Peter Lewis had the whole BAU team under surveillance, and he would pick each member out in due time. Soon, he would destroy Jarreau's family, which was a bit harder, because they were such a tight-knit unit. And Rossi, an ex-loner with a returned lover and newly met daughter, he would be an easier target. The problem with Rossi is he had tons of money and connections. Now, the problem with the new guy, Stephen Walker, was information; he would warrant some more research.
Now, Emily Prentiss was team leader; she had taken over when Hotchner had stepped down. Team leaders deserved respect and personal attention. So, Peter Lewis followed her from Quantico to New York. What was her business in New York, he didn't know, but he would soon find out.
Prentiss's car entered a parking lot in Manhattan. Peter Lewis waited to see where she'd go and followed her in his car until she entered an elegant bar. He parked his car in the same parking lot and walked down to the restaurant. He was confident Prentiss wouldn't recognize him with his longer, dyed hair, mustache, and spectacles. Besides, a couple called much less attention than a man alone.
Lewis and his companion settled at the end of the bar in a way that he could survey the whole room beyond. As predictable, Prentiss was sitting at the bottom of the main room, her back to the wall in a way that she also could survey the whole environment. Lewis and Prentiss were actually face to face from opposite sides, but he was shielded from her full frontal view by his companion, sitting in front and blocking Prentiss's eyes.
Peter Lewis pulled his micro camera and started clicking.

The dimly lit bar was covered in dark wood, the two rooms separated by French doors with sandblasted glass panels, the décor mixing French and English. Paul Davies was at a table with two executive types in dark three-piece suits. He was doing his best to follow the conversation about a new label with a teenage heartthrob under contract and willing to use his Hell's Kitchen studio to cut a single and, possibly, a future album. Even though the scotch list named the best single malts coming directly from the Highlands, Polish vodka, and a mixologist capable of the most elaborate cocktails, Paul stuck to club soda with a twist. Better let the execs get plastered and keep his head clear.
