Spoken Word Poetry
To shine is like letting go,
Achieving that exceptional glow.
Walking on stage to take that bow,
And hearing those cheers escape the crowd.
To shine is like waking up,
And getting to school on time.
To not be late for class,
Waiting for that bell to chime.
I'm no longer going to let "stress" hide my shine;
I'm going to push myself to the limit,
And achieve what's mine.
