Testing

I walked up to my locker. It, as usual, was an ass and wouldn't open to met me get to my before test papers. I punched it. No answer.
"Fuck." I said lowly. Thankfully, no one heard me.
"Language." I was wrong. I turned around dreading who was either going to beat me up or try to kiss me. It was Logan, smiling like he usually does. I jumped to give him a hug. But then I realised what school was about today and if one of us failed... I don't think the other would think life is worth living. He hugged me tighter as a tear dropped from my eyes.
"It's gonna be ok." he said, obviously noticing that I was silently bawling my eyes out.
"It's not. What if I didn't study hard enough? What if my tablet messes up and they don't let me take it again? What if I lose you?" I sniffled. Great, I was having an anxiety attack in the middle of a crowded hallway. Well, so were 799 of the 800 students in Vista Point High. The only one who wasn't was Logan.
"Babe, you didn't sleep for 2 weeks. The tablets a coded this year and thy use fingerprint, you WILL NOT lose me. Those are facts." Logan said, pulling me back into his embrace. He always know how to help me.  Always.
"Lockdown in progress. 30 second 'till lockdown. Testing to begin in 15 minuets." the guard called through the speakers. We could hear the shutters rattling down, blocking any natural light and any escape route.
"All of you get to your classes!" the guard at the end of the hall yelled over all of the commotion. The guards moved forward and the students, not wanting to be hurt, moved along with them. We filed into our classroom and the teacher was stood there in front of all of us. Logan and I sat on the front row, but next to each other because Logan wanted to calm me.
"Are we all seated? Good. These questions are tough. But I want you all to know, that if whatever happens that you've all had a good run. You have 2 hours to complete this test. You may begin." the teacher called. She was tearful. She was the kind one in this instance. I turned on my tablet and began the test...
**1 hour and 59 mins later**
"One minuet left." the teacher called, after I put down my tablet. At least I finished the test. I watched as the timer counted down.
59...58...57...56
I ended up getting lost in thought because then I heard a huge buzz.
"Time is up. Tablets down," the teacher said. "If I call your name, you will follow the guard to you know what." She took a deep breath.
"Jenny Peters, Gideon Grey, Harry Klein, Fallen Holds, Olivia Burden, Xander Faith and finally..." We all looked at each each other as those people were dragged away.
"Finally, Laura Smith."
My eyes widened as one of the guards came to drag me away. I was a goner. I was going to the thinning.
I walked grimly down the halls. I was in the line with all of the other failed students. I couldn't think of anything but Logan. How would he carry on? How would my family survive? Why didn't he save me? I was devastated. I heard the thudding of running feet and then a guard shouting. Then Logan raced around the corner and tackled the guard at the back of us. He had the guard in a headlock when Logan shouted;
"Run Laura! Run!" I ran alright. I, being very strong, pushed past the crowd of students that had gathered to watch. I ran into a janitors closet. They were the only places without cameras. I heard a stampede of angry and frustrated guards race past the closet. I heard my breath waiting for Logan to come and save me. Again.
Logan's P.O.V
I had knocked out the guard and was now fighting off another two. Hopefully, Laura was safe and had hidden well. She was always good at hiding. I felt a baton whack against my face and my vision went blurry. I could see the guards coming to finish me off. I wasn't that easy. I picked one of them on the face (well, mask) and he was immediately knocked out. The other guard, taking advantage of my unstable state, dodged my punch and grabbed my arm. He held it there for about 10 seconds. By the time he went to hit me again, I had regained full vision and fought back. I kicked him in the shin, breaking his upper leg. He dropped to the floor and called out in agony. I kicked him in the face, either knocking him out cold...or putting him to death. I ran back into their the hall, where students were still gathered. I ran into them, knocking many over. I ran to the nearest janitors closet, hoping to find Laura. I did. She was on the floor, traumatised. I dropped to my knees and hugged her tight.
"It's going to be ok." I said. I kissed her on the forehead. I didn't want to let go...
