I saw a pair of piercing green eyes look up at me as I scream in terror. I don't move, instead I stand there, making eye contact with whoever was in the alley way. It was as if those eyes kept me there, frozen in time.
I pulled myself back together, and ran. I passed buildings, houses, clubs, until I finally reached my flat. I heard loud yelling and footsteps behind me, but when I turned around to look, all I saw was the empty street.
I hurried my way up to my flat, and making sure that I had all 4 locks safely secured. I looked out my front window, only to see a dark shadow standing across the street from me. I quickly closed all of the blinds, making it completely dark in my small flat.
I went to my bedroom to collect all of my thoughts, in an attempt to calm down. It was no use considering I had just seen someone be murdered. It didn't help the my client for the other evening was calling me non stop.
I finally had the courage to answer his call. I told him that I was sorry for not being there tonight, but all he did was scream at me, calling me a good for nothing whore. I hung up, not desiring to hear anymore of his hurtful remarks.
I changed into comfy clothes, made a microwave meal, and sat on the couch catching up on episodes of Teen Wolf. I could feel my eyes slowly shutting as I grew more and more exhausted from the days events.
I drifted off to sleep for a few hours, and when I woke it was still the middle of the night. The TV and the living room light still on, but my bedroom light was also on. I didn't remember leaving that light on before, so I began to feel uneasy.
I tiptoed over to my bedroom, and peeked my head around the corner of the door. I saw someone with their back turned toward me rummaging through my closet. It was a male, who was quite tall and had very curly hair. He was very slender, and his arms were covered in tattoos.
My breathing became unsteady as I turned my head back to the living room. Who was this guy, and what the hell was he doing in my room? As quiet as a mouse, I tiptoed over to the front door of my flat. I slipped into a pair of tennis shoes, and quietly began to open the door.
I moved quickly out of the front door, and ran as fast as I could to the cafe below. I bumped into someone on my way down, who harshly grabbed my arm, turning me to face them.
"Where do you think you're going, Aubrey?" the stranger whispered into my ear. Before I could respond, I was being yanked back to my flat. After the man pulling me knocked on the door, I was shoved back into my flat.
"Well, well, well, looks like we have a runner. If I were you love, I wouldn't try running again, unless you want to end up dead."
I stepped back, remembering where I had seen those green eyes before.
"What do you want?" I timidly asked the stranger who had not only broken into my flat, but had also killed someone.
"You" he simply stated, then grabbing my hand, leading me into my bedroom.
"Pack your things, now." He growled in a harsh, deep tone. I did as he said, not wanting to be his next victim...
