So, you watched the series at record speed. Binge watched it for an entire day. And then you talk about it saying how overly exaggerated it is and how pointless the season was. You're wrong. For anyone who has ever felt or experienced anything in that show, it has meaning. It shows the daily struggles that everyone misses. The daily pain that someone feels. It's real life. There's no sugarcoating, there's no hiding anything. Everything is real, and true.
So please, come back and tell me how pointless 13 Reasons Why is after you've felt loneliness. After you've thought about and planned to kill yourself. After you've been depressed and cut. After you've watched someone you love go through depression. After you find out that someone you love planned to die. After you sit and listen to someone talk about their suicide plans. Until you experience every single thing in that season, you have no room to tell me that the show was pointless. Until you see someone face to face and help them think otherwise, do not tell me this show was over exaggerated.
This season was the most real and true look at suicide and depression that I have ever seen. It's real life. It happens every day to some people we never even thought were hurting. 13 Reasons Why brings should teach you a lesson. To look at the people around you. To listen to the way they talk. To see the signs. 13 Reasons Why should teach you to pay more attention because there are so many people going through this. It wasn't made to be an entertaining show. It was made to bring awareness for those who are too hurt to ask for help. It was made to inform people to be more aware of what people deal with every day. So maybe, go back and watch it again, but instead of rushing through it, pay attention to what you're watching, and do me a favor, learn something new to use in your every day life.
