"Well of course we're going to stop them soon. Pirates have been a growing problem and they need to be dealt with." The Duke said.

He took a sip from his cup and looked at Miss Ashwood, "Don't you worry, these new warships are indestructible. They'll be able to finish of an entire fleet of pirates."

"That's good, that's good, filthy thieves who know no better. A bunch of murderers, liars and dirty criminals. They deserve nothing less if I do say so myself." Sid said.

Miss Ashwood stared down at her food, she didn't care about pirates, politics or any of this stupid stuff they were talking about. All she wanted was to go back to her room and sleep.

"Excuse me Miss, is the food not to your liking?" She looked up and saw the butler staring at her.

"No, that's not it, the food is magnificent, I'm just not really that hungry right now." She said, she picked up her fork and resumed eating, even if it was just a little.

The Butler chuckled

"If you're not hungry Miss you should go rest, I can imagine it's been a long day. Tomorrow you and I will start the arrangements for the wedding so you should get some rest."

She looked at the Duke, "Oh how exciting I can't wait, well I'll be going now. Thank you very much for the food." She said as she got up.

She headed out of the dining hall and towards her room, holding back the urge to say what was really on her mind.

She walked out of the room and the butler followed behind.

"There's no need for you to follow me, I know my way to my own room." She said.

He kept behind her, she didn't know what to think about him. He was an attractive young man but why does he have such an interest in her.

She reached her room and turned around to face the butler, "Alexander right?"

"Yes Miss that's my name, how could I help you?" He said.

He leaned in closer, Miss Ashwood pressed against the door and stared him in the eyes. "What did you mean when you said you like me." She asked.

He smiled, a devilishly playful and sly smile, he put one hand on the door and leaned even closer, she turned her head.

"I can tell how badly you hate being trapped in that cumbersome dress." He dragged his finger along the back of her dress, "I can see a fire of passion for an adventure." He whispered into her ear.

She turned to him and was going to say something but was stopped by his lips coming down and kissing hers. Her eyes opened wide and she didn't know what to do.

She didn't push him away though, she felt such a thrill and she liked it even just a little bit. Slowly she closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss as well. He put his hand behind her back and brought her closer, she felt as if time had stopped that right now she was kissing one of her future husbands employee.

He stopped and stepped back. He looked at her and smiled, "Have a goodnight miss."

He turned around and walked away.

She stood there still dazed at what had just happened, she touched her lips and started thinking back to the warm sensation his lips had caused her.

"What in the world just happened?" She asked herself, she turned around and walked into her room. She walked towards the window and looked out. The moon was shining bright over the sky reflecting itself off the ocean, what was that feeling just now. Her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her own chest.

She shook her head, "Forget it Miravette, tomorrow you will report this Duke. That butler will get what's coming to him." she told herself.

She got out of her dress and put on her nightgown, she had had a long day and honestly just wanted to call it a day. She looked out the window one more time. The reflection of the moon on the water captivated her. The gentle sparkle the waves gave, and the relaxing sound of them hitting the side of the mansion. She saw a boat far in the distance, oh how beautiful it must feel to sail on the ocean if only she could just jump on one of those ships and sail away from all of this. She sighed.

She walked to her bed and laid down, "One day, one day you'll be free." she said.

She closed her eyes and drifted off, still thinking about the kiss the butler gave her.

Outside her window the ship continued moving towards the mansion, a man stood on the ship watching the mansion. He grinned slowly, he grabbed the dark wooden skull mask next to him and placed it on. Behind him a group of men all placed their masks on.

"Well boys its almost time, and this one is one hell of a haul."

The young butler walked down the hall and saw the ship heading closer through a window. He smiled. He took out a large silver ring, the ring had a skull on it.

"Well it's about time." he said as he headed back to the dining room.
