His Beautiful Mess {Still Completing}

Chapter 9

-Alicia-

Last night was amazing. Me, Damien and Rayne all got high at Rayne's which ended in me passing out cuddled up to Rayne.

"Ray Ray, what day is it?" I ask when I wake up around 9 am-ish.
"um it's like Wednesday I think." He replies scratching his head trying to remember. I chuckle and go to where my phone's on charge next to the computer.

10:37 am Wednesday. Well my guess was a little off. I walk over to Rayne and give him a hug, then grabbing my phone and bag. "I'm going to school Ray Ray. I'll see you soon." I say walking out of the door towards school.

After about 20 minutes of walking I arrive at school to realize I have algebra right now. Any other day and I would've wanted to die, but I'm actually happy. Not because it's algebra, but because Damien's in my class.

God I think about him too much. I think as I walk towards my class.

Looking through the glass in the door I see the teacher writing on the board. I decide to try and sneak into class which was a total fail thanks to the damn squeaky door.

I had everyone's eyes on me and I could see a huge smile on Damien's face which he was trying to hide from me. Horribly might I add.

I walk around the desks to my seat, which I realized is in front of Damien.

Once I sit down the teacher began to continue writing which made everyone look forward.

After a few minutes Damien taps on my shoulder making me check if I was being watched. I wasn't. I turn around to meet Damien's eyes.

He smiles at me and I smile back. "Sorry I passed out last night." I say honestly. "It's okay. It was one of the best nights I've had in a while." He says to me and I could tell that he was serious. I chuckle and I give him a questioning look. "Really?" I asked and he nods.

How cute, he thinks that'll be it. It's gonna get a lot worse.

I turn around after he replies with a nod.

Writing down an address I check it over and continue to write 'smart casual' and a time underneath. I fold it up and pass it to Damien. "Don't open it until after this class or Andrews will read it out. Be there tonight." I say and turn back around.

Looking at the clock I see there's only 3 minutes left of class so I start packing my stuff up.

As soon as my bag is over my shoulder the bell goes for next period. I stand up and walk to my next class hoping he remembers.

Where will this address take me? And why does it say "smart casual"? God I have so many questions but knowing Alicia she won't tell me anything.

Walking into the library I go to the small corner between the two back shelves. I go here whenever I have a free period. Ms Bell doesn't mind me being here.

Putting my headphones in I press play on spotify.

I start to sing along quietly to Sad song by We The kings and remember to stay quiet this time to prevent a crowd. I mean, I know I can sing, but it's embarrassing to sing in front of people.

An hour or so passes by and I hear another bell signalling the end of school. I start walking home and open the piece of paper from Alicia again. I re-read the address, time and "smart casual".

I repeat smart casual out loud quietly a few times trying to think of clothes I have that are smart casual. None come to mind. I'll just have to ask mum and Courts to help me.

After walking about 20 minutes I get home and I try opening the door but it's locked. I reach into my pocket to get my keys assuming that no one's home yet and hear a loud smash coming from inside. This causes me to hurry with the keys and when I get the door open I see the prick with Courtney. He's got her by the hair.

"Jason let her go. She's done nothing wrong." I say calmly trying not to look like a threat. "Nothing wrong? NOTHING WRONG?! This little bitch took my shit!" He tells at me gripping her tighter.

"IT WASN'T ME I DIDN'T DO IT DAMIEN HELP ME PLEASE!" Courtney screams with tears streaming down her face. He slaps her so hard I almost felt it and she sobs harder.

"Stupid little slut. I should get the boys here to treat you like you deserve." He seethes at her with hatred. "Here Jason go have a well earned drink to calm down. You've been working hard this week." I say and hand him a hundred hoping he'd let her go and leave.

He nods and takes the money, "yes you're right, for once." Jason let's Courtney go and throws her into the wall and walks away mumbling bad things about her.

As soon as the door closes and I see him walking down the street I run up to Courtney and hold her wiping her tears. "I'm so sorry I let him do that to you. I'm so so sorry." I pick her up in a tight but comfortable hug and walk into the kitchen placing her on the counter.

I walk to the freezer and grab her an ice pack which I wrap in a clean dish towel and hand to her. "It'll reduce the swelling." I say and Courtney places it on her cheek. I walk back over to her and kiss her forehead and wrap my arms around her. "My Princess. I'm gonna fix everything okay? He's never gonna hurt you again, I promise." I say and she nods slowly.

About half an hour later mum gets home and sees all the mess that idiot made. "Damien what happened? Are you and Courtney okay?" She asks with pure concern and I nod. "I'm fine but he hurt Courtney. She's asleep on my bed. I got home right before anything bad happened. I convinced him to go out so I could help her and once he left I took her in with me. She's scared mum. She's too scared to go in her own room in case he comes back and we take too long to get to her. Jason threatened to have his friends treat her like a slut. We can't keep doing this and you know it." I say and mum nods agreeing with me. "I'll call up Lisa and see if we can stay with her for a while. That's the only place he doesn't know. It's the only way we can stay safe. I love you baby boy." I hug her, "I love you too mumma bear."
