Dear First Love

What happened?
One minute I was the happiest on Earth
And the next,
I was shattered glass crying out your name
Our faint memories, running through my mind
A few months, all it took was a few months
To ruin something that could last forever
Our love,
So real and pure
My escape from reality
Not a single moment goes by
Where you leave my mind
You were the flame that lit my candle
My greatest source of happiness
Now, we talk
Yet nothing feels the same
I try to get over it, but the memories haunt my mind
I've tried, yes I've tried
To stop loving you,
But my heart is led to you
Always. First love,
You are my prince,
My savior
And I'm always your angel, there for you everytime
I love you, all of you
To the moon and back
And I miss us, dearly

Hey guys, it's paynaik14 here. So I recently have had the urge to update but haven't gotten to my book yet so I decided to write a poem. Now, this isn't just some random thing I wrote. This really came from my heart. My first love means everything to me. Now, I decided to share this with y'all and comment what ya think. I really just recently started writing poetry again so hopefully this is good :)
