Chapter 1

"Wow it's the first day of school all ready, I can't believe it's our senior year Monica" says Anika. I

mean after all the bullshit we went through last year I'm surprised I'm still alive. "Anika relax he is in jail and he is never getting out come on now he murdered like 8 people trying to get to you. They locked him up and threw away the key." Yeah your right Monica I shouldn't be worrying, this year is suppose to be the best year I need to relax and enjoy it. "Hey Babe, I been looking for you everywhere Anika" says Jared. "Hey Bae, I was just talking to Monica,you know catching up we been distant over the summer since my psycho of a mother shipped me away to my crazy grandmothers house in Georgia. I mean she said it would help get my mind off of you know everything that happened last year, with all the murders. But anyways, I missed you Jared did you miss me." Babe I haven't seen you in like forever damn right I missed my boo. He pulled me in close and kissed me passionately, ohh goodness how my body started to heat up, all I know is he could get it right now but we in school so damn. After his lips left mine he wrapped me in a warm embrace and whispered in my ear that he loved me. "Ohh my goodness y'all are too cute but um go get a room if you gonna do all that, but just to let y'all know we got like 3 minutes before the bell rings and we shouldn't be late to class on the first day" Monica said. Shit she was right so he let me go and told me he would see me at lunch. I was so happy new year, new start. I got to see my boo and me and Monica have class together. So we rushed to first period and lucky enough we made it on time. Every one knows how the first day is, Mrs. Braxton talked and talked and talked. I was so bored I decided to take a nap.

So I laid my head on my desk, closed my eyes, and fell asleep......next thing I know I was in my house laying in my bed when I was awaken by a loud scream. Something must be wrong so I went to go see what was going on. Trying to stay quiet I slowly descend the steps to see a man and my aunt screaming at the man saying "YOU CANT HAVE HER!" He lunged at her and started stabbing her saying "NO ONE IS GOING TO KEEP US FROM EACH OTHER, SHE IS MINE!" In my head I start panicking "This has to be a dream Im reliving last year all over again!" while covering my mouth from screaming, and tears steadily flowing down my face. I decided to quietly/hurriedly go to my room and grab my phone to call 911.

"911 what is your emergency?" Says the dispatcher.

"There is a man in my house and he just stabbed my aunt to death, please help me!"

"Ok calm down mam' what is your address so I can send help right away?"

"My address is 234 Star Gaze Lane."

" Ok mam' help is on the way. Stay calm and try to hide until help gets there."

"Ok thank you, just hurry." And I hung up.

After I hung up I heard footsteps slowly ascending the steps. I said to myself don't panic so at this point my best bet was to hide under my bed and cover my mouth with my hand so that I could stay quiet. He started walking down the hall saying "Anika, come out Baby. I did it for us." I started panicking, how does he know my name and what is he talking about "I did it for us." He slowly started walking towards my room and opened my door. "Anika, I did it for us. I killed your friend Ben, your one teacher Ms. Tanya, your aunt Jordyn, and a few others. They needed to die because they were trying to keep us apart." After I realized what he was saying I started crying a lot because he was the reason my aunt, my teacher, and my friends are dead to try and be with me, this man is sick. Out of nowhere my phone starts to ring and the problem is it's under the bed with me. I start to get really scared hoping it wasn't noticeable but before I know it my legs are being grabbed and I'm being dragged from under my bed. I was so scared I started screaming and kicking doing whatever I could to get away. He threw me on my bed and looked at me with this menacing look, I thought I was goner.

"Anika, I love you. We can finally be together."

"Please don't hurt me. Leave me alone."

"Anika, I will never leave you. I LOVE YOU, don't you love me? You have to love me."

"NO I DONT LOVE YOU, YOUR SICK!"

"Don't lie to me Anika!"

He punched me in the face and I could taste my blood as the pain started to emerge.

"Anika, I'm sorry Baby. Forgive me."

"I will never love you, YOU BASTARD!" I said and spit in his face.

I could see the fury in his face and he balled his hand into a fist again, he punched me in the face again this time I could feel the pain emerge around my eye and could feel it swelling. All I could do is start to cry.

"DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT, YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO LOVE ME AND TREAT ME WITH RESPECT" he said

"NO ASSHOLE"

I try to cover myself and before he could hit me a 3rd time but before he could the cops broke through my front door and I screamed and they ran upstairs and arrested him.

"I will find you Anika! I LOVE YOU!"

I was in so much pain that I fainted. I haven't seen him since. Junior year is a blur to me.

"Anika......Anika.....ANIKA!" Monica said while tapping me on the shoulder. I jumped up so fast because I was scared. "Anika, what's up with you, you acted like you seen a ghost, you ok? I just wanted to wake you up because the bell is about to ring." I am fine guess I was just tired, I lied because I didn't want to worry her, but thanks for waking me up. I slept the whole class? "Yea girl, you was knocked out *she laughs* come on girl, you is a trip, we need hurry before we late for calculus." Monica said. "Alright girl let's go. ( what's wrong with me, why did I have that horrid dream? I don't want to know )"
