"Hiya Y/N!" Kili shouts happily as he plops himself down next to you in front of the fire.
"Hi Kili," you say putting the swords you were sharpening to the side. "What can I help you with?"
"Oh nothing just wanted to spend some time with my best bud!" He replies, slinging an arm around your shoulder.
You raise your eyebrows and look around at the rest of the company to see if anyone else is finding Kili's sudden affection a little odd.
Suddenly, your e/c orbs meet your best friend Fili's across the fire and he looks furious. "You ok?" You mouth at him. He surprised you by rolling his eyes and resumes his glaring at his brother.
Kili smirks a little at the exchange between his brother and you. He knew about Fili's huge crush on you and decided to make him jealous and it seemed to be working. He steps up his game a little by swooping in and pecking your cheek. You yelp and giggle in surprise as a small blush spreads across your face. And that was the last straw for Fili.
Fili gets up and walks across the circle. He grabs your wrist and pulls you away from his brother and into the forest, much to the amusement of the company.
"Fili! What are you doing?"
"Do you like him?" Fili asks as he finally stops dragging you. His eyes are trained on his feet and he looks almost ashamed.
"Who? Kili?!" You laugh lightly and shake your head. "Fili, that's crazy! I only have eyes for one dwarf."
"Ah, so you do like somebody." Fili whispers and you could almost see the hope diminish from his gaze.
"Yep. He's very handsome, sweet, hilarious, brave, smart, oh yeah and he's also a blonde Durin prince."
Fili's eyes light up as they meet yours and he slowly leans in until his mouth is slanted across yours.
Smiling, you both walk back to the company, hand in hand.
