You've seen his face before and you rack your brain trying to remember. As you walk down the hallway it hits you. Those eyes looking at you from across the cafeteria, those same eyes that look at you through a camera. You don't know how long this has been going on but you wanted it to stop. He has been harmless so far but you always have the feeling that you're being watched. When you look up at him his averts his eyes but when you get close he's no longer there.
You leave home to run some errands in preparation for graduation next month. You feel his eyes on you as soon as you shut the door. You don't see him but you just know he's out there, watching you. You find yourself making more mistakes as you walk. You stumble and drop things just so you can slowly pick them up. You want to tease this man for the pure fun of it.
On the way home one afternoon you see him across the street with his camera. You put your things down and make your way to him. Half way across the road he panics and starts to walk away. "Hey stop!" You run and catch him in his yard. You spin him around, "I said stop. Why didn't you stop?" He looks down then back up at you, "I panicked that something so beautiful was coming my way."
You don't know what to say for a second. "Why do you watch me? Is it some strange thing like a serial killer does?" He chuckles a little and you're struck by how beautiful his smile is. "I kinda like you," he says with such innocents in his voice. Your heart sinks in your chest at his admission and you can't help but smile and look into his eyes. "Would you like to go out sometime," he asks while scratching at the back of his neck. "I'd like that," you respond and start to walk away. Then you turn, "what's you name so I know what to call you besides my personal stalker." His face reddens, "the name's Dean and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He does a little bow as you leave.
Dean. You repeat that name in your head time and time again. You finally have a name to go with those eyes. Ever since you've know his presents he has been in your thoughts. Now when you leave your house you no longer feel extra eyes upon you instead you feel comfort and safety. You go to school that day and as you sit in the cafeteria a body sits next to you. You know immediately who it is, "I'm glad to see you're not at a distance." You look at him and his eyes trace all around your face. Your eyes fall to his lips, those luscious full lips with a shine of just been licked. "Wondering when to pick you up tomorrow. For our date." His gaze doesn't leave you and leaves you at a loss, again. "How about 6 so we can catch a movie?" A smile creeps to his face, "perfect," he says as he gets up from the table and leaves.
You finished the rest of the day listening to teachers drone on and dreaming of your date. You wondered what he would be like. He seemed pretty shy so far but you would lie to know what he likes. Your mind goes back to his face. Picturing it and wanting to touch it, feel his stubble across your neck. You snap out of it and the bell rings to go home.
You look in the corners of your eyes on the way home but no Dean in sight. You are ready and staring at the clock for 6 to roll around. The doorbell rings and you race to the door. You open the door and your jaw drops. The man before you is sporting a leather coat with a Zepplin shirt under it and aviator glasses hanging from the neck line. His jeans are a little torn at the knees and steel toed boots to match. Once your eyes make it back to his face he pulls a pink carnation from behind his back, "for you."
You break off some of the stem and arrange it in your hair. He takes your hand and leads you down to his car. You don't believe your eyes, looking back at you the black beauty. You've seen this car before online but never did you think you'd be riding in one. "That's my baby," he points to his car. You slide into the passenger seat and he jumps behind the wheel. Starting up the engine and hearing her purr you hold on tight as he puts her in drive and off you go.
The movie you don't remember because you were too busy thinking about him. You calculated your every move and your brain went blank when his hand grazed yours. You turned over and opened your hand. His fingers tickled down your arm and wrist before finally settling down, palm to palm. You felt sparks jolt through to your spine and it intensifies when he gives your hand a squeeze.
Once the movie is over everyone files out but you take your time and he wraps his arm around you shoulder as to guide you out. You like being under his arm and feeling his protection. The smell of his musk fills your nostrils as he leads you back to the impala. He can't stop talking about the movie and you fill in when you can. You slide around the seat as he takes corners. You end up beside him and you think this was his plan. He pulls up at your house and walks you to the door. You pause and look at each other. "I had a great time," you say looking into those green eyes. "Me too," he says closing the gap between you. When your lips touch it's like fireworks explode. You kiss back just as much and when your lips part you already miss them. "See you around," and you watch him leave.
That was a year ago and that first date was just the first of many you would have with Dean. You've been on many adventures together and coming up will be your one year anniversary. By now you no longer lived at home and were in college. You had two part time jobs but made it work and Dean came by when he could. He was a mechanic and taking classes at the local college.
You got home and looked around and after asking tonight off from work you didn't have anything else to do but wait. Dean say he'd call when he was out of class. You clean up and you wonder what to wear or if he even remembers. 6 comes and goes and you lose hope. Checking your phone again you see he hasn't called or even sent a text. There is a knock at your door. You open it to find Dean in a tux holding a dozen pink carnations. You start to cry and he gives you a big kiss. "Sorry getting the tux took longer than I expected." Truth is you didn't care because he wasn't that late. You step back and take a full look at him, "well I need to change," you say leaving him to come inside. You put on this blue dress he got for you and you looked great in it and practically made him salivate when you wore it.
He takes you to a nice restaurant and you look back to see baby sitting in the lot. You take in all the sights and sounds of this place and you wonder how he can afford this place. He pulls out your chair and sits across from you. "You look very handsome tonight," you say nearly blushing. "I want to make this a night to remember," he flashes that smile at you. "Doing a good job," you look at the menu.
The conversation is always great mainly because of your company. The food is fantastic and you can't remember eating something so fancy. There is a brief pause and Dean takes your hand. "I can't wait any longer," he says sliding to one knee in front of you. "y/n, you've made me the happiest person alive. A day without seeing you is a day wasted and I can't see my life without you in it." He pulls out a little box from his jacket pocket, "will you marry me?" You nearly fall out of your chair, "YES!" You both smile and he takes your hand to place the ring on your finger and its perfect. He rises up and kisses you and you throw your hands around his neck. Whispering in his ear, "congrats because I'll never forget this night." He wipes away your tears and you hear clapping all around. He doesn't let go of your hand but takes his seat again. You look at this perfect picture of Dean Winchester holding your hand and being able to call him fiancée.
