"Hi," April says
"Ok, so what's a warlock?" Maya asks Jackson and April share a long look but nod.
"A warlock is an immortal being with great magical powers," April says
"Oh, so that's what you are? How do you look so young?" Maya asks
"Ok, so that's hard to explain no one knows why but at one point in a warlocks life they stop aging. Some stop as old as 50 some stop as low as 17 like us some stop even younger and older "April says
"So what are you exactly?"
"Downworlder's half human half demon," Jackson says
"Downworlder yeah Ollie said he's one and was turned. How are warlocks made?" Maya asks
"I'm not sure you want to know that," April says
"Oh come on I'm 18 I know how babies are made." Maya protest
"Not warlocks"
"Tell me" Maya pleads
"Alright alright fine"
"April," Jax says sternly
"Look if she wants to know I'll tell her," April says
"Fine get on with it," Jax says knowing there's no point in arguing
"Ok, Maya first thing you have to know is warlocks can't have children." April pauses
"Why? Is it because your immortal?" Maya asks
"No, it's because we're a crossbreed you learned this in school right?" April asks
"Well yeah, it's like the liger if a tiger and lion mate the offspring can't reproduce it's a crossbreed, not a new species," Maya says
"Correct. Warlocks are hybrids and not that big in the downworld population wise. Not even close to werewolves and vampires or the Fair Folk. It's because warlocks are either killed when they are young or born." April says
"Why is that?" Maya asks
"It's because warlocks are born with a mark some call it a demon or a warlock mark."
"Ok I still don't understand"
"I know these marks are strange and unique. These marks can be extra, inhuman body parts like bat wings, goat feet, lizard tails, scaled hands, cat eyes, or different-colored skin and hair." Maya's mouth dropped
"Maya are you ok?" Jackson asks
"Yes. You still need to tell me how they are made. Your stalling." Maya says
"There made when a demon finds a woman and has sex with her," April says her face dead serious
"You mean rape," Maya asks
"Yes in less the demon is a shapeshifter then the demon can look like anyone in the woman's life or a new stranger," Jax says
"No no no no that's not true it can't be," Maya says her hands going through her hair
"Maya, what's wrong?" April asks
"You need to come with me," Maya says standing up and heading towards the stairs.
"Where are you going?"
"Follow me," Maya says April and Jackson follow Maya down multiple hallways, they finally reach a green door.
