Hi guys! Just wanted to say sorry for not writing for a long time. I have been trying to start again and think of new book ideas but I found it hard to begin. However, I hope to be writing a bit more frequently as I do enjoy this hobby. Thx! (Also I do not own any of the artwork for the chapter images.)

Shannon: Quickly! Come on!

They were running. Stumbling through the village and balancing over the log bridges.

Emily: What does it even say?
Felix: That doesn't matter right now!
Tierney: Yer, we just need to think about getting to Layla and Arthur before anything bad happens!
Emily: Ok then, I only wanted to kn-
Shannon: Stop talking already!

Suddenly, they found the secret castle entrance, and one by one, started scurrying up the spiral staircase.

Mya: What do I do with this gem?
Luke: I'm not sure, just keep hold of it because it might be important.

Once they made it up, they all sprinted through the corridors up to find the Royal siblings. Pressure was building...

With the other group, 1:12pm, in the guest kitchen.
Nathen: Does anyone hear running?
Kirsty: It's probably just Chloe coming back.
Sophie C: Yer, don't worry.
Greg: The worst possibility is that the Royal guards have come to you all for stealing those wands earlier.
Alyssa: Hey! You were there too.
Greg: I know but I'm not the one who wanted to turn the leftovers from breakfast into a frog.
Jessie: But it was fun! You know, if we die for doing this, it was worth it in the end.
Sophie: Really?
Jessie: Really.
Nathen: Wait, guys, it's getting louder.
Greg: This is it...the end!
Alyssa: Shut up! Your being over dramatic!
Tierney: HEY!
Kirsty: What are you lot doing?
Jamie: No time to explain!
Aaron: Come with us, quick!

The squad ran with every last drop of energy they had to Layla and Arthur, however, when they finally reached the top of the castle, they weren't there. They had gone.

Mya: WHAT! I'm sure Arthur said that they would be here if we needed them!
Shannon: This is terrible...
Felix: Why? What's happened? What does the note say?
Shannon:

"To the royal Family of Shadowspell,
We have spotted an dark mist in the neighbouring kingdom of Icemoor. It's seems to be almost pitch black and covers ground incredibly fast. Make sure to keep yourselves, and Ciro safe. He is the only one who can save us all. We believe that this mist is the same kind that took you, Layla, and cursed you, Arthur. If needs be, evacuation will need to take place. The most suitable places to move would currently be either Witchfield or Elfdale.
From the Royal Guards of Shadowspell."

Luke: Oh man, this is bad.
Jessie: You don't say.
Nathen: Hang on, who is this "Ciro", who can apparently "save us all"
Ciro: Me.

They all turned to see an old man in the corner of the room. He was surrounded by books and basically looked like any old man you'd see in town.

Aaron: You're Ciro?
Ciro: Yes, I am.

His voice was weak and frail, and his eyes were always squinting through his glasses that sat at the end of his nose.

Ciro: Don't feel embarrassed. Everyone at first thinks I'm this young superhero, built with all the strength in the world. But I'm not as young anymore, as you can see. Although you may feel disappointed, don't worry, I still have the power that I had all those years ago. Hopefully I can save you, but I'm not going to promise anything like world peace, okay.
Sophie: I thought that was what he was here to do.
Chloe: Just let him speak, we don't know what he's capable of yet.
Ciro: Now, what's the problem again.
Mya: The dark mist!
Ciro: Oh yes, let me see...

He opened a large book in front of him, which suddenly let bursts of light flood out of it. It swirled round the room before entering the unlit lanterns, creating light for him to read.

Ciro: What you're talking about is Darkness. It can manipulate anything to become a thing of evil, but most of the time it just wants to tease people by making terror form in their lives. People call me Ciro because it means Sun. They always used to tell me that I can defeat Darkness, but honestly, if I could, I would of done it a long time ago. And now, I'm just a weak old man, who can just about light up a single room. If I was you, I would start evacuations...

Hello once again! So yer, interaction time! You guys get to choose whether they all evacuate to either Witchfield or Elfdale! The one with the most votes in the comments will be chosen in the book! Bye and thx again!
