"I find your public display of affection oddly nauseating." Damon said loudly, his eyes studying his best friend who was affectionately kissing her new flavor of the month. He almost rolled his eyes at the sight, he knew he'd enjoy dissecting this one as much as he'd enjoyed killing the rest of her best friend's conquests.

He held up the glass in his hand, as if saying cheers, when his best friend shot him a nasty glare. A small smirk tugged at his lips when he saw her wrap her arms protectively around the boy. He enjoyed watching her squirm uncomfortably under his intent stare. As much as she'd try to act strong, they both knew she could never win against Damon if they went up against each other.

"Don't touch him, my affections towards him are quite genuine." Alexa said, her voice not quivering unlike how she really felt inside. Deep down she knew this guy wouldn't last either. Her best friend was a monster and he would see to it that none of them were happy, even if it meant killing off each guy who showed the slightest interest in her.

"I do recommend that you dispose of him before I'm forced to." Damon uttered, his voice void of any emotion as he plopped himself on the chair opposite to the couple, placing his legs on top of the table.

Alexa scowled, her eyes accessing her Damon in disgust. "If anyone needs to be disposed of, it is you, dear friend." She said, fake sweetness coating her words.

Damon brought the glass to his nose, inhaling the sweet scent of blood. His fangs throbbed, and his gums ached as he tried to tamper down the hunger. He wanted to sink his fangs into warm flesh, and suck dry whoever was attached to the neck in question. Drinking from a glass never brought him as much satisfaction as draining a screaming and frightened mortal. Having someone beg him for their life before he drained them, brought him immense power. But he was willing to settle for this before he found his next prey.

Bringing the glass to his mouth, he drank from it. The hot metallic liquid flowed down his tongue and down his throat, the taste making his mouth water, and left him aching for more. But he settled for fixating his stare on Alexa.

"You should know that this overbuilt amateur who looks like he is on steroids won't be able to help you." Damon said calmly, his eyes raking over the guy. He could see the fear behind the guy's strong façade. The corner of his mouth lifted up in a ghostly smirk, his reputation still beheld him. He liked that, he liked being feared, he liked to see people quake at just the mention of his name. "In fact he looks like he is in need of protection himself." He added.

If Alexa's anger was any more apparent, she'd burst in flames. "Kindly choke on your insults and opinions, Damon. No one needs them." She sneered. Even she didn't understand why she stuck to the savage vampire for almost a millennium, maybe it was for the hope she still held that he could be saved.

Damon laughed humourlessly, placing the glass he was holding in his hand on the table before he turned his full attention to Alexa. "On the contrary though, I think you do." He paused as he moved his legs from the table so he could place them on the floor. "He just won't do." Damon pointed at the guy next to Alexa, his mouth pulling up in disgust. "He clearly is a weakling. Look at him quiver in his boots."

Alexa growled angrily at Damon, she could feel her fangs tingling to be let loose and sink into the other vampire's neck. There was just no end to Damon's cruelty. No one else around him could be happy if he wasn't. If someone he cared about deeply cared about something else, he killed it. It was his way of showing affection.

"You will not touch him." She said very slowly, a hint of a command in her tone.

Damon narrowed his eyes on the girl for a second before he threw his head back and a laugh rumbled out of him. It was obvious the laugh was fake since it held no humour, but instead it was dark. He sobered up and shot a dark glare at Alexa. "You of all people should know that I don't do well with demands." His voice was calm and collected, it almost scared her.

Alexa didn't respond, she stood up instead and held her hand out to her boy toy. "Come on, Emmett, let's go somewhere else." She said affectionately, and for a moment Damon thought that he was truly going to puke. He'd never seen such a nauseating display of affection before.

He leaned back in his seat as he watched Emmett's every move. He saw how Emmett stared at him briefly before he looked away and bowed his head down in submission. He almost tsked, but he held himself back. For a vampire, that guy truly was a weakling. He couldn't even stand up for himself, and he let a girl fight his battles instead. Pathetic.

"Don't leave on my account." He taunted, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. He pushed himself to his feet, instantly noticing how stiff Alexa's body went at his sudden movement. He rolled his eyes at her dramatic reaction. "Don't worry, I won't eat him today."

He straightened his spine, and cracked his neck. "I have a meeting with a witch."

He didn't wait for Alexa's response as he leftat lightning speed.
