Promise me

Two Boys mindlessly and silently walk down a small paved road in the town they've both grown to be who they are now in. That is until one of them breaks the peaceful silence. "Asahi-san, I need you to promise me something" the short boy had stopped walking and turned to stand in front of the other looking up into his eyes.
"Yeah, okay, what is it noya?" Asahi had also stopped walking and was now curiously looking at noya. The two had been friends for a year now, Asahi being one year Nishinoyas senior. They never expected to be as good of friends as they are now, their personality's were almost nothing alike, while Nishinoya was loud, outgoing and overflowing with energy, Asahi was more anxious and quiet, preferring to stay away from having all the attention drawn to him. nonetheless they became great friends.

"I want you to promise me that you'll never leave me, or at least that you'll never forget about me, can you promise me that Asahi-san?" at first Asahi was taken aback by the question, what kind of question Is that anyways?? he pondered it in his mind replaying it over and over. what would bring Noya to make him promise something so random out of the blue like this? Noyas stare was growing more intense by the second, he looked like he was internally praying for Asahi to say yes, so Asahi chuckled a little patting Noyas head, with a big smile plastered across his face he nodded

"yeah, I promise."

"...pinky promise?"

"what? .... sure"

the big bearded softie held out his pinky finger, Nishinoya wrapped his much smaller around it and smiled a big toothy grin.

"thanks Asahi-san"

"yeah"

Asahi smiled the rest of the way home thinking about what he thought was a silly promise with no real reason behind it.
