"We have a saboteur." I flatly said.Dad was pissed and very disappointed.
"What you heard inside this room shall never be repeated outside!" Dad stated with anger.
Anger is one of the most powerful emotion in human nature. It can drive us to do something we would regret. But it can also help us to carefully craft our plans for getting even. Revenge is an overrated word in everyone's book.
"I never thought that this could happen. I'm so disappointed. I'm the one who chose those recruits. I'm such a fool." Caroline lowered her face with such disappointment and embarrassment. "I thought they were ready...and loyal." She added.
"Well, we all got fooled!" Dad half screamed. "In this kind of circumstances, we should do what we do best." He added with a full determination to punish.
Jon walked over to me with a pissed face. While the others are still talking about their recommendations to the creator.
"Who is it?" He asked.
I smirked at him. "Let's just say, I'll handle this."
"This is not the time to play games Cameron." Jon said with a little annoyance in his voice.
I wickedly smiled before I turned my back and walked towards the door. He never stopped me before and I thought this was going to be it, but nothing happened.
Before I could open the door, Raymund's voice stopped me.
"Who is it Cameron?!" He asked with a strong voice. Strong enough to stop me from walking out. But he just suffered the same thing I did to Jon. I'm not telling anyone until I'm done.
Raymund let out a pissed sigh and he opened his mouth to say something but he closed it again when the creator spoke.
"Cameron, I need your recommendation." Dad requested while he stared at the table.
"There's a traitor inside this facility and I have to make sure that it's the first and will be the last." I announced. "I recommend to initiate full lockdown procedures. No com signals, no service connections, no prepping operations, no recruit trainings and no one gets in and out of this hell hole without my approval." I stated my terms with full conviction.
"Oh hell no!" Jon half screamed.
I quickly turned my gaze at him. "I have to make sure that the mole is working alone! If you have a problem with that Jon, how about you give me your fucking recommendation!" I'm not really cool when someone is questioning my ways.
Jon didn't answer.
Silence filled the room. Everyone was thinking if my suggestion is a must or is there another way. There are a lot of things to be considered in initiating lockdown.
Communication will be down so any kind of support our agents need outside of this facility will be terminated. We currently have 3 active missions and we can't just pull the plug and tell them about the breach.
After a few minutes of deafening silence, someone finally spoke.
"How much time do you need?" Raymund asked. He looked so serious and concerned at the same time.
"A couple of hours and I need..." I was about to tell them something important but Jon cut me off.
"Sir?" He asked dad and waited till the creator looked at him. "I guess this is our only choice but tell them it's a drill so no one suspects a thing." Jon added.
We all looked at the creator waiting for an answer. Maybe it's a difficult choice to make but it's necessary. I trust him to make the right choice but no matter what his decision would be, I'm still going forward with my plan.
