The app had just finished downloading on my brand new iPhone. My parents had given it to me for my birthday. I clicked on the cute little icon and beautiful graphics were displayed when the app opened up.
Now this app wasn't just ANY app, it was online dating for teens! I couldn't wait to sign up.
The app opened and without hesitation or any moment to think, I clicked the button that said 'sign up now!' A little form popped up with lots of boxes for me to fill out my information.
The first box was for my name. Well, that was easy!

After filling out all the boxes and verifying my email address, I was set! I uploaded one of my best selfies for my profile picture and added a few more just for fun. Filling out all that information and uploading all those pictures was really tiring, as you could expect, so I decided to grab some dinner. My parents had made pizza about an hour ago, but I was too caught up in texting to listen. I put two slices of pepperoni pizza in the microwave and thirty seconds later, DING! My gourmet dinner was ready.
I quickly devoured my food so I could get back to my dating app. It had been ten minutes since I signed up; I should've had plenty of notifications! I was disappointed to find that only one person had sent me a friend request, and even more disappointed that he wasn't even cute! Oh well. I decided to go to bed early in hopes that tomorrow would bring cuter boys and more friend requests.
