In the distant future of 2424 an outbreak of the virus named AE2FR has spread throughout the United States. "WARNING, THIS IS A STATE OF EMERGENCY. EVERYONE EVACUATE IMEDIATELY". I look up and see my class evacuating the classroom just as the warning said. I only hear the warning through my headphones for I live in my own world which lies within my head. The world is a dark barren place nowadays with everyone having to be contained. It is either you go insane, extremely ill with a slow, painful death, or just quick deaths like you were launched into the sun. No cars, no bikes, any way of transportation left in the wasteland that we call home is gone. The smell of ash and dust flow into my nostrils as House of the Rising sun by the Animals plays into my ears. I look to down at my phone as I approach my apartment, a light smirk appears on my face at the name of my playlist "A Way to Escape Reality & Possibly Chill". I hear tornado sirens blaring through my headset and like a cheetah I sprint toward my door. I pull my key out of my pocket and shove it into the door with the roar of a tornado behind me

The thump of my belongings slamming onto the ground is what I hear while I hide in my bathtub with the mattress over it. My heavy breathing and my steady heartbeat is all that is with me while I lay in the darkness my phone buzzes and I am suddenly horrified by the message that I received, "To the son of the Greys, your parents and all of your family members have been killed or have been effected by the virus AE2FR we are sorry to say that you are the only one in your entire bloodline that hasn't attracted the virus." I shut off my phone and let my tears silently fall like the raindrops I hear outside. My phone vibrates as it does when it receives a message from the remaining parts of the government. The soft glow comforts me as I begin to lift the phone up, more tears fall as I see the weekly report of how many people have been affected. The message read, "Good evening survivors, we are here to report that over 2 million people around the U.S. have been affected with the virus AE2FR. Good luck and may god be with those who are still sane." I let the tears help me fall into the dreamless sleep.

I wake up and climb out of my bathtub. While I was getting ready I turned on my music to hear "Outlaws" by Green Day play into my headset. I begin to think of all that has happened in the past week. Tears begin to flow down my face as my head starts throbbing violently. White noise begins to pierce into my mind; I fall onto the ground at the pain which is being endured upon me at that exact moment. When all of the pain went away I look into the mirror. Blood. Blood coming from my ears, and even my eyes. I cry like I never had before. I was on the bottom floor of my apartments so I went outside and climbed from the ladder which was on the side of the building to the top. I had a rope in my hand ready for the inevitable. More tears streamed down my face as I look down at all of the people who were yelling at me to get down. I tie the rope around my neck and slowly slide off the side of the building.

Dean knew what was going on around him, the apocalypse was happening and he was infected with the AE2FR virus and went insane. Dean's death was broadcasted and then the virus was named after Dean being named the Dean Grey virus with him having the first suicide linked to the virus. Researchers immediately went on the hunt to find the cure and were able to find it by 2425. Dean resembles the mind of a man going unstable, may no one go at the insanity alone.
