May 18, 3:00pm, London England....
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" I squeled from my room. OMG! We're going back to my country. yes. my country. Philippines! My mom just told me about the news and Im more than excited for this! and we are staying there for good. OMG. JUST OMG!
Miss ko na ang Pilipinas. oh? ano? shock kayo marunong ako ng tagalog? that's because I always speak tagalog here. nagta-tagalog lang kami dito sa bahay because we dont want to forget that Filipino blood talaga ang nagfo-flow na blood sa body namin and also, we practice Filiino culture din like yung pagma-mano and marami pa.
I was 9 when I last visited the Philippines which was 8 years ago. doon ako nag summer nun. I wonder how our place there looks like now. namimiss ko na talaga ang PIlipinas. I feel like I really belong there. Mom said na babalik na kami doon for good kasi my dad is taking over my granfather's company kasi mahina na si lolo and our business here will be managed by my tito na.
*knock knock*
"who's there? pasok lang. di yan naka'lock" I said while reaching for my travel bags. syempre, our flight is on the 19th na kasi. so i'll pack na :)
"Kathryn? it's me. Johanna." johanna said while binubuksan nya yung pinto.
Johanna and I are like super mega bestfriends or more like te sisters na. We grew up together here in London kasi sabay din kami na dumating dito. She also has Filipino blood pero one half lang kasi, she is One half Autralian but hindi sya marunong magtagalog.
"oh, come in Jo" I said.
she sat down on my bed pero tahimik lang sya, ako naman, kinuha yung 2 remaining travel bags ko.
"Kath?" she started.
"hmmmm?"
"Titta Min told me you will be leaving for the Philippines for good" narinig ko yung sadness sa voice nya.
nilapitan ko sya and hugged her super tight. mamimiss ko sya ng sobra. sya lang kasi yung napagsasabihan ko ng problem ko dito at syempre alam ko na pag-alis ko, wala na syang makakasama sa lahat ng ka'adikan nya.
we pulled away from our hug.
"Take good care Kath. Im going to miss you. I promise to visit you there. I know you want this and I know you've been wanting to go back you Philippines for so long already but I hope you wouldnt forget me." she said looking down.
hindi ko napigilang lumuha. i hugged her again. pero lumayo sya.
"you know what? i dont want to see my bestfriend crying before she leaves." she wiped my tears then continued. "I want to see her smile. come on. I'll help you pack up." she stood up and open my empty baggage.
we started packing na agad. At almost 7pm we ended up and sakto din kasi nag dinner na kami ni mommy and daddy, ofcourse with johanna. I want to spend my time with her kasi nga aalis na kami and Im not sure kung kailan kami magkikita ulit.
pagkatapos mag'dinner, nag movie marathon kami. it's our favorite hang-out kasi tapos we ordered pizza :) yeay favorite food din namin yun noh?
we laughed, cry and shouted sa mga tinignang movie namin. we wanted to make the best out of it but after 4 hours, nangbigat narin mga mata namin so we decided na sa living room nanag matulog. we just had sleeping bags and pillows on the floor. alam ko maiintindihan din ng parents ni Johanna kung bakit nag sleepover sya sa amin.

"Kath, wake up, we have 4 hours before the flight. you have to get ready pa." I heard my dad.
wait what?! 4 hours? i overslept. but whe's johanna?
"Jo left eraly anak. pero sasama daw sya sa airport mamaya. sige na. mag ready ka na." Mama Min.
I got up and went straight sa bathroom and did my thing. after 45 minutes maligo, i quickly blow dried my hair. nagsuot ako ng shorts na floral tapos blue na crop sweater thenpeach colored vans ko and Im redy to go. kakain nalang.

after nung ready na kami lahat, we drove to the airport. syempre, johanna drove the car. the airport was 45 minutes away galing sa bahay so meron pa kaming two hours to stay doon.
after I checked inn..
"I'll just get coffee muna ha dad ha?" ako while heading to starbucks. I ordered one Java Chip Frapuccino for me and one mocha frapuccino for my bestie since I know its her favorite. 1 hour left before my flight. im soo excited right now. I was walking fast..
*PAAAAAAK*
i spilled my drink on someone's white shirt :O I looked up to him. his face looked expressionless. di tuloy ako sure kun ano talaga kung galit sya but ofcourse magagalit talaga yun.
"OMG. Im really sorry. I can get you something so that you could change" I said with guilt.
"No. Its fine. My flight is in an hour" He said.
so that means he's going to the Philippines din?
"oh uhm, you're a filipino?" i asked. feeling close lang din ako noh?
he nodded as an answer which I take as a yes.
"oh. ok. see you there nalang". he just nods again. im starting to think na mute sya. joke.
"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to Philippines with stopover ate Korea. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you." annoncer.
"i have to go. im sorry" i said walking away. i walked really quick. not far, I already saw mama, papa and Johanna so I walked a littl quicker.
"Bye Kath. dont forget to email me ok? i love you so much."
we hugged eachother. napapansin ko tumutulo na rin luha nya, ofcourse ako rin.
"I love you more Jo. please take care for me ok? I love you more"
we hugged eachother tighter.
"tama na yan Kath. mas lalo ka lang magiging emotional. let's go na." Papa
we pulled away. we wiped our tears na rin.
"Johanna, we have to go. tell your mom I said goodbye. take care hney." mama. she alsohugged Johanna.
after nun, we waved goodbye na and wen to our gate for the plane.
this is it.
19 hours left and I'll be home....
