An old piece of writing that I fixed up a bit. - Glitch

It was a cold November day, and you were waiting for your boyfriend, Ciel Phantomhive, to return home from going to town. He had left earlier this morning, so you have been helping Bard, Finny, and Mey-Rin do things around the house. Mey-Rin only had one more thing to do, which was cleaning the floors. You decided to help her, even though you were exhausted. The two of you were almost finished, but then you heard the front door open. You quickly got up, dusting off your dress (Picture above), and rushed to the door to greet your beloved. "Welcome back, Ciel!" You smiled. Your smile was gone as soon as it appeared when you noticed the look on Ciel's face. He had a frown and his eyebrows were furrowed. Slightly worried, you quietly asked Sebastian, "Did something happen while you two were out?". "Just a bit of trouble, Lady (Y/N). There is no reason to worry." Sebastian whispered back, giving you a reassuring smile.

As the two of them entered to Ciel's office, you ran to the kitchen to make Earl Gray tea for Ciel and grab the cake you had made for him when you were taking a break from cleaning earlier in the day. You placed them on a cart and grabbed a chessboard, which you had gotten as a gift. You quickly wheeled the cart to Ciel's office, knocking on the door and waiting for a response. "Come in." Ciel called, his voice slightly muffled by the door. You wasted no time opening the door and wheeling the cart over to him. He gave you a questioning look, but accepted the tea and cake. "You looked stressed when you came in, so I thought these may make you relax, just a little bit. I also brought chess." You explained, laying the board down on his desk and setting up the pieces.

"Alright." Was his only response as he took a bite of his cake. "You made this?" He asked, motioning to the cake. You nodded and gave him a smile. You two began playing, Sebastian had left to attend to his duties. It was quiet, only the sound of the chess pieces moving on the board and quiet breaths could be heard. Ciel was winning, but you were used to that. Your hand moved to grab your teacup, but instead spilled the hot tea, all over Ciel. He shouted and stood up, immediately glaring at you. "You klutz, look at what you have done! God, you're so stupid. Sebastian!" He yelled. "Ciel, I'm sor-" You began, only to be cut off by him. "Haven't you done enough damage, you stupid girl? Why don't you leave, since all you do is cause trouble for others!" He hissed, his glare becoming more intense.

Your eyes started to tear up as you got up from your seat and ran out of the room. You quickened your pace to a sprint as you ran out of the mansion, into the cold, dark outdoors. You kept sprinting, going into the woods surrounding the Phantomhive manor, until you couldn't run anymore. You fell onto the grass, trying to regain your breath as a couple tears silently slid down your face. After successfully managing to regain your breath, you realized how exhausted your body was after sprinting such a long distance so quickly. Your body didn't want to move, and your eyes slowly closed as you drifted into an unconscious state.

*Time Skip to the next morning brought to you by Finny being adorable*

You felt your body being shaken, which awakened you. You opened your eyes, blinking until you got used to the light. Your eyes adjusted, and you found yourself looking up at the face of Ciel Phantomhive. He had a concerned look on his face as he stared down at you. "(Y/N), are you okay?" He asked, his hand touching your arm gently. His eyes widened. "(Y/N), you're freezing!" He quickly took off his coat and wrapped it around your small shivering form. He lifted you up bridal style and held you close to his body so you could absorb his body heat. "Sebastian, lead us back home." He ordered, walking a few steps behind him.

You hesitantly wrapped your arms around Ciel's neck, he jumped slightly at the coldness of your skin, but didn't move your arms. You remained silent as Ciel walked, until he broke the silence. "I'm sorry about what I said yesterday. I didn't have a great day yesterday and took all my anger out on you. I didn't mean anything I said. You're not stupid and I find your clumsiness adorable." Ciel quietly murmured to you, so only you could hear it. "D-Did you just apologize?" You asked, staring at him with wide eyes. "Yes. Don't get used to it. This is the only time you will hear it." He replied, a small smirk on his face, which was directed towards you. He stopped walking and leaned his forehead onto yours. His lips were only centimeters away from yours. "Am I forgiven?" He asked, looking into your (E/C) eyes. "Y-yes." You stuttered out, blushing from how close the two of you were and how close he was focusing on you.

"You're too cute." He sighed. He made the centimeters between your lips disappear in a sweet kiss. "I love you, (Y/N)." He whispered against your lips. "I love you too, Ciel." You whispered back. Ciel leaned in for another kiss. "Are you two coming?" Sebastian asked, interrupting the two of you. You jumped, causing the space between yours and Ciel's faces to widen. Ciel glared at Sebastian and he simply smiled back, turning around to continue towards the mansion, quite proud of himself for ruining the moment between you two.

*Extended Ending*

"Hey, (Y/N)?" Ciel said. "Yes?" You asked. "That cake you made was amazing. I want you to make another one." "Okay, Ciel. When we get back home, I will make you another cake." You giggled. "You mean after we warm you up and finish our chess match from yesterday, right?" He asked. "Oh... I forgot about that! Yes, after our game is finished, even though we both  know you are going to win." "Of course I am."
