The Package

"Hey." Katarina said as Corey and I walk into her hospital room.

My parents are shopping so they dropped me off here so I could visit Katarina in hospital.

"How are you?" I asked.

"I'm well. Healing, ya know? Vampires heal quickly. How are you two?" Katarina asked.

"I'm good." I said. Corey just shrugged.

We spent a few hours with Katarina and then, unfortunately, had to leave. We got back to my place and went straight up to my room.

"Okay, so what's wrong?" I asked Corey.

"What do you mean?" Corey replied.

"You barely said five words. SPILL!"

"I got a message from the council and turns out, my Glamour is coming soon. I'm super nervous. Can you give me some advice?" Corey asked.

"Make sure someone is there to catch you when you fall. If you don't you could suffer minor injuries. Choose what you want, don't try to pick the same as me if you don't want to be an elemental meif'wa." I said thoughtfully.

"Thanks." Corey replied.

We sat in silence for a bit.

"Wanna ask if you can come to my place? I'm sure my parents won't mind but just in case, I'll text mum." Corey suggested.

"Sure. I'll go ask."

We got consent from our parents. We then walked to Corey's house, two blocks away.

"Hey Dante, hey Jenna!" I said as I walked through the living room.

"Hey Erza! We were just about to text you to see if you could come over when Corey texted us. We have something important you both need to know." As soon as Jenna said that, I saw the little white package by her feet.
