*John Watson's POV*

I woke up to hearing stuff getting thrown around  in the living room. Again. For the third time this week, It was getting a bit annoying to be honest. I got out of bed still barely awake and walked into the living room to see Sherlock throwing papers, folders and laptops around the room. "Sherlock what on earth are you  doing? It's 5:30 in the morning!" I asked rubbing my eyes trying  to see clearly why exactly he was so frustrated. "John I have an important case right now... You wouldn't want to get involved. Go back to sleep or at least go see Mary." Sherlock said with an irritaded yet concerned tone. I loved my girlfriend Mary very much and I would love to go stop by to say hello and maybe make her breakfast... But she  is out of town this week and it's probably best that she is. Things here have been  a bit crazy. Me and Sherlock always do our cases  together, that was the point of forming a partnership to uncover crimes and mysteries. So this seemed a bit out of place.  "Er.. Sherlock. What exactly  is all this? And Mary went to visit her parents for the week." I said peeking  over the  piles  of papers on his desk  to  try and see what he was searching for on the laptop. Sherlock was still in his pajamas and robe and looked horrible,  like he hadn't slept for days. He probably hasn't. "This? This is nothing. Just a case.   Now go find something to  do! Go see Mrs. Hudson or  Molly or Someone! I don't  care just leave me be." He looked extremely frustrated and he suddenly slammed the lid of the computer shut. "Ahh! I can't find anything! He said yelling. "What is it? Maybe I can help!" I tried to offer my assistance... Tried. "No!! I said No! This case is too intelligent for you!" He looked at me like I had a 5th  Graders brain. I was used to the rude comments by now, I know he means well. "Well  thank  you for  being honest. I will leave you to it then." I stormed off, I hated ending  the conversation on a  bad note. But he gave me no  choice, If he decides to keep secret cases then so be it.

Later that day Sherlock had finally invited me along to go see Molly and ask her for some opinions and help. I almost think  that Sherlock was just coming up with an excuse to see Molly, But I won't  jump  to conclusions. We hopped in  the cab and drove tothe lab. Before we went in Sherlock  stopped and looked at me. "John  how do I look." He said it extremely fast,  like  he was nervous. "Um you  look fine,  Why do you care? You never care." Which was true, He never cares or asks people how he  looks. Then he fluffed his hair and we started to walk in. "I just want to look presentable. I am a  proffesional. Shouldn't I look proffesional?" I almost didn't know  how to answer  that. "Yes. of course Sherlock." I said rolling my eyes a bit. We walk in the lab to see Molly, her hair is in the usual ponytail and she is staring at some blue  chemical suff,  I have no idea what it is. "Hello Sherlock, John."She says staring at Sherlock smiling  a bit. "Hello Molly, We...I... Need your opinion on some things involving a very important case." Sherlock told  Molly.  She looked confused, then pleased. "Alright. What do you  need opinion on?" She said turning towards us. Sherlock pulled out a small peice of note paper. I assume he wrote the questions on it. Which is  funny... He usually remembers everything. "Do you beleive in paranormal events." He said the first question blankly, but with strong  curiosity. I couldn't believe what he was saying, Sherlock never believed in  'paranormal' ghosts and rubbish.  "Sherlock are you serious...?" I asked. He looked at  me with a grave look on his face  "Yes John I am very serious." I think I now know why he didn't want me to get involved, Because he thinks I will think hes  insane. Which he is. Molly looked at me then back at Sherlock laughing until she saw how serious Sherlock was. "Oh. Um... No I don't  think so." She answered him. Sherlock flipped over the paper. "Okay. Next and last question, Do you  beleive in aliens?" She opened her mouth but no words came out. I simply pressed the palm of my handto my  forehead. Sherlock has gone mad. "I suppose I don't... What is this about?" Molly asked anxiously.  "Nothing. Lets  go John. Thank you  for your  help Molly." Sherlock said as he walked away towards the door. I ran and caught up to him. "Sherlock what has gotten into you? Ghosts? Aliens?" I was getting  seriously worried, I trusted Sherlock with  my life so I am hoping  he isn't pulling any jokes. "John I told you... You cannot get involved. It's too much. John this case  is extremely hard for  even me. You can't help." He looked away. I was a bit offended. "I can be the judge of that. Tell me  what's going on. I will help." I wanted to know what in the world was wrong with him. "Alright John.. But you must keep this  between us! Nobody  can know not even Mary!"  I agreed. And he told me. And I couldn't believe it.
