Phillip's POV
She's laughing.
That must be a good sign.
"That's great," she says between laughs. Wiping small tears off her eye, she slowly stops laughing, "Oh gosh, Phillip, you almost got me." More laughing, "But seriously, that was funny. Can I go home now?"
I look out the window and see more trees and no houses or buildings, which means that we're nearing the woods. Pull over here, I mind link Calvin.
"What are we doing here?" Reina asks when the cars stops.
"I need to show you something." I tell her.
She starts looking serious. "You honestly expect me to trust you, here, in the middle of nowhere, Mr. Alpha guy?"
She just called you Alpha guy, Scott links me. I don't believe it either.
"Yes." With that one word, she scoffs and steps out of the car when Calvin opens the door. Just as I expected, she takes the opportunity and makes a run for it right to the woods. Mortals. They think they're so invincible.
I immediately take off my wardrobe to leave them on the car and shift in a split second. My hands and legs turn to paws, my entire body becomes covered in fur, and I become a wolf. I link my betas and tell them to follow after me. I just hope I don't scare her too much.
Reina's POV
I have never ran this fast in my life, with no pausing too. The plan in my head was too good, I run to the woods, climb up a tree and hope they don't look up. Those three were either crazy, or on drugs.
My lungs are on fire, I have to stop. Anywhere is better than being taken captive by them. A tree with big roots I'm nearing looks easy to climb, so I stop here and hide behind it opposite the direction where I was from to breathe before I climb.
Taking big breaths, I look around and listen for any sign of them. Crack. I stand straight up and look for some sort of weapon. Grabbing a branch on the ground, I lift it up and prepare myself to do some major damage.
Sounds of very heavy footsteps on dried leaves and fallen twigs are getting louder, nearing me. I hold my breath and jump out, "Go aw- "
I didn't finish what I was going to say because before me stood a creature that I can best compare to a really tall and bigger version of a dog. The fur on it was a magnificent gold color, except for few black fur on its back, feet, ears and tail. Its eyes were big and had black irises with some gold streaks. Phillip.
I knew it. I was officially crazy. The creature, which I can assume is a wolf, takes two steps towards me, but not like trying to pounce on a prey. It was being careful of its steps.
My knees start to feel weak and I find myself on the ground on my back. Calvin and Scott appear out of nowhere with some men's shorts. Nothing is making sense right now.
I look at the wolf again and I start to see black. "I feel like I'm about to pass out." I say to the two guys.
As the wolf walks closer to me, it transforms into a man but I don't see him clearly because my vision became blurry. "Reina.." is all I hear before I lose consciousness.
