[ONE-SHOT] 1: Guessing games..

Kim glanced at the couple in front of her. Her bestfriend looked so happy and so in love, Maja and Matteo were just one of those couples she admired. He made time for her, like she did for him, he looked after her and she looked after him. Kim missed her other half.

"Mahfriend, okay ka lang dyan? Parang ang lungkot lungkot mo dyan ah..."

Kim glanced at her bestfriend who was on the otherside of the table. She faked a smile and nodded. Glancing at her iPhone for the 5th time that evening, she wondered why he was taking so long. He had an event to attend to but she knew it must have been over by now. Like he read her mind, a text appeared on her screen.

"Malapit na ako... don't stress. :-)"

They were with eachother the entire day, but it didn't mean she missed him any less when they were not together. She told herself to stop getting so attached to him, she told herself not to fall so hard, but like Xian said... "Hindi pinipigilan ang puso." and boy was he right. She fell for him through their almost 24 hour tapings, their late night phone conversations and their many group dates and private get togethers. 

"Xian! Dumating ka bro!"

Kim awoke from her reverie and looked up as she heard his name. His eyes met hers and an automatic smile appeared on her face. He was so handsome. She watched as he greeted Matt a 'Happy Birthday' and as he greeted everybody around the table. He finally got to Kim and she stood up and greeted him with a kiss on the cheek and a tight hug. 

"Uy... okay ka lang?"

He whispered as he took her hand. All eyes were on them and both of them did not seem to care, the people around them were all close friends that knew how to keep a secret. She smiled and nodded her head as she held on to his hand and pulled him down to sit beside her.

"Oo naman... okay na okay."

He stared at her for a while and as they held hands he let his other hand place a strand of hair behind her ear. 

"Sure ka ha?"

Kim shyly smiled and nodded as she turned a bright shade of red. Everyone around the table was still talking but their eyes were on the two in front of them. Kim placed a plate in front of him and she prodded him to eat.

"Kain ka na." 

A natural sweetness was always going on between the two, though they were not yet officially together, they had a romantic bond, something only they understood. 

"Di, okay lang ako...ikaw? Kumain ka na ba?"

Kim made a face.

"Nakakainis ka naman eh, kumain ka! Masyado kang body conscious! Kanina pa ako tapos eh.. Kumain ka!" 

Maja couldn't take it anymore, she had been out with Kim and Xian more than once, and she was a frequent witness of their sweetness and kiligness, she teased....

"Uy... wifey mode ata si mahfriend ngayon! Alam mo Xian, super tahimik nyan kanina.... ng dumating ka, ayownnnnnn!"

"Maj naman eh..."

Xian cleared his throat and placed an arm behind Kim's chair as he moved closer to her. 

"Totoo ba yun?"

Kim crossed her arms across her chest and moved away from him.

"Aba ewan ko....."

He smiled and hugged her with a whisper.

"To naman...."

She smiled. She loved when he did that. When she was having her tampuhan moments with Xian he always hugged her and it made everything better.

She lightly pushed him away but kept her hands intertwined with his.

"Oo na, sige na... kumain ka na."

He looked at her again and then smiled. She laughed, feeling conscious under his stare. 

"Ano ba........"

 The sweetness continued even as he ate. He offered a spoonful of food to her several times but she would just giggle and push the spoon away. Sweetness and hand holding was all that occurred that evening. Kim was all smiles and everybody could see it. For the entire evening he did not leave her side, for the entire evening he had his eyes on her. He loved her and he was willing to wait for her. 

It was finally time for everyone to leave the restaurant, only their table remained. Maj said goodbye to the rest of the guests with Matteo by her side and Kim and Xian were still sitting at the table talking about their upcoming trip to Hawaii. 

"Magkatabi tayo sa plane diba?"

Xian nodded as he put on his jacket and helped Kim put on hers. 

"Yup. Tapos si Maj at Matteo nasa harapan natin. Alam mo, I did my research and there are some really nice places sa Hawaii, I'll take you guys around."

Kim laughed. He was so handy.

"Mm... ganun ba?  Ang galing mo talaga! Advanced na advanced at eveready! Parang battery lang!"

He smiled. She was so adorable. The way her nose crinkled up when she laughed, the way her eyes twinkled when she smiled.... he had memorised everything about her. From the way that she slept to the way that she laughed. He stared at her for a while and she raised a brow at him, feeling conscious again.

"Ano ba!"

She was going red. He took her left hand and kissed it. She couldn't look at him anymore. Not after that. 

"Um... late na o.... uwi na tayo...."

She stood up without letting go of his hand and they said good bye to the couple who had been watching them for the past five or so minutes.

"Happy birthday ulit Matty! Sweet ng mahfriend ko!"

Maj smiled then teased her bestfriend.

"Aysus... ang sweet nyo nga kanina.. hanggang ngayon ang sweet pa rin... kung maka holding hands... WAGAS!"

Kim blushed and let go of Xian's hand, he smiled at Maja and Matteo and placed his hand on her waist instead.

"Sige na, kita kits nalang this Tuesday sa airport."

Maj kissed both her friends on the cheek and watched as the 6'2 man accompanied her bestfriend to her car. 

"Hon.... sila na kaya?"

Matteo laughed and kissed his girlfriend on the forehead.

"We will never know with those two. It's a guessing game."
