[NEXT DAY]
*AMBER'S POV*:

I was cold.

I could literally feel my body freezing.

My shoulders felt numb and my ribs felt broken as I opened my eyes slowly, letting the dim lights guide me through the unclear vision of an unfamiliar room.

It was hard to tell whether this was some kind of an imagination, a part of a dream, or an actual reality, because all I could see were shadows, but that didn't last long.

When I finally regulated my eye sight, my vision fell on a body, standing fully opposite to me, blocking my view, his bright red shirt blinding me, as he blew the fume out of his mouth, a smile on his face when he noticed that I'm regaining my consciousness.

It was hard for my brain to analyse the events around me at first, seeing I've been passed out for a while now, since the side of my head hurts like hell.

I only just noticed I've been lying on the cold, uneven ground under me, with nothing but Mason's flaming eyes to keep my body heated, and cracked walls to keep me away from the world outside.

I have no idea how long I've been in my current state, but I know I can't stay like that longer.

Every part of me hurts, and my thoughts instantly shifted to the main reason I'm here.

Conor!

What happened to him?!

He must be looking for me! He must be worried!

I wonder what Mason is planning. If he got me, he can easily get to Conor too, and that's one thing I don't even want to imagine happening.

Conor promised me he'll take care of himself... so I shouldn't be worrying about him right now... I should worry about myself... right?

I sat up, my eyes never shifting away from Mason's hazel green eyes that were lighting up with absolute evil, as he entertainingly watched me suffer to sit up properly.

I didn't move after that.

I was just sitting there, my back against the wall, only just realising that both of my hands were tied up to my back as I tried shaking my headache out quickly.

It's funny to think this isn't the first time I've been in such a situation, but it hurts that this time, Mason is the one responsible.

I expect nothing less honestly, I was just kind of hoping he would treat me better than the way he treats his prisoners.

I'm actually tied up and thrown to the floor as if I'm a complete stranger to him.

But it's okay, this is not what I should care about in a time like this.

"Our precious princess is finally up!" Mason eventually spoke, his tone full with sarcasm.

I could tell he was enjoying this.

I'm not gonna let him win though. As soon as I get my proper chance, I'm getting out of here.

"W-Where am I?" I asked him, my voice softer than usual because I could barely even focus.

"You're in your loving boyfriend's arms, and under his protection. Don't worry baby, you're more than okay." He said.

Okay, I'm out of focus, and I feel weak, but I'm pretty sure the last time I checked, I was a bitch, not a baby.

Especially not his baby.

What is he even trying to prove if I'm under his protection?

"You're crazy." I said.
