Shawn's POV
Beside me is my wife, Gwen dela Vega. I can feel her presence, but I know her heart and mind is not with me.
"Love.. Gwen..Come on, sleep. I know you're tired. You want me to get you a glass of milk?".
"No. I'm fine. Don't mind me." she replied.
"I am already sleepy. See?" she added after pretending a yawn.
Then, she starts closing her eyes. And with that, I can feel my heartbeat race abnormally. I love her. I really do. Even if she acts cold towards me.

Third Person's POVThe sun is at its highest peak. Yet people seems to have endured it very well just to have a rally, for unjust killings. A rally about their loved ones who were drug users. Some say that their relatives have already changed and starting a new life, some also say that their family member is not even involved and the police got the wrong person. And some even say that the accusations that their loved ones fight back when being arrested is not true, so why do they have to be killed?
That day, Gwen can be also seen in the rally. Not with the same purpose as those who are surrounding her.
"Come on!"
"Move your fucking asses! I need to get through!"
"You bunch of people are just adding to this extreme heat! Ahhhhhhhh!"
"I will feed you those placards if you don't let me through! Shitheads!"
Those were only some of the words that Gwen shout to every individual that's blocking her path.
"Move!" sweat is dripping down her forehead and she doesn't have anything to block herself from the heat.
Many rallyist that she have bumped into started talking about her because of the commotion. But still, the rally continued. And so as Gwen in trying to get through the pool of people.
"What the?!" said the old woman that Gwen accidentally bumped.
Gwen doesn't really want to apologize at this situation.
"You are blocking the way, so it's not my fault! I told you to move, but you stayed still! Are you deaf?!" Gwen's answer leaving the rallyist pissed.
"You disrespectful bi--" the old woman never had a chance to scold her because she already left.
In the middle of the site, Gwen has face her greatest fear. At that time, she got stepped-up, bumped, she even fall on her knees.
But she didn't mind the pain. She didn't even shed a single tear. Because, she knows what her goal is, and that is to stand up and get pass through this crowded place.
Slowly, she started walking, and running if there is a chance. Even though her whole body wants to give up due to extreme pain and bruises.
She continued her pace.
After a few more minutes, she is now at the entrance of the hospital.
Carefully.. She looked at her watch.

Third Person's POVBefore Gwen started to pass through the rally site, she is at the blood bank. She bought a bag of blood for her daughter, Swan.
"Mrs. dela Vega, you have to make it into the hospital in less than thirty minutes. The blood can't be exposed in extreme heat." Dr. Ventura reminded her.
"I'll keep that in mind, doc." she said.
But deep inside, she was not sure if she can make it. The hospital is just across the blood bank. But what surprises her is that there is a rally going on in between of those places. There may be another way to get into the hospital but she doesn't have a car. And she doesn't have that much penny left in her pocket to ride a PUV.
