Y/N's -POV-
I wake up as the sunlight spreads through my bedroom. I rub my eyes out of my sleepiness
Suddenly I got a text. My stomach fills up with butterflies knowing it's him.
S.coups: G'Mornin' Y/N 😄😄😄
Y/N: Morning 'Coups. What's up?
S.coups: Umm...I was wondering if you're free today?
Y/N: Yeah, I'm free😃
S.coups: Sooo... Would you like to go to the park with me? Ride bikes...get some fresh air you know? What do you say?
Y/N: Yeah, sure!😄
S.coups: I'll pick you up at 10
Y/N: OK
S.coups is my bestfriend. We've known each other since third grade.
He's the kind of guy that every girl wants to have as a boyfriend but he rejected every girl that confess to him.
I didn't know why, he even rejected the most beautiful girl in school!? I mean...
How can boys reject a beautiful girl!?
I asked him why didn't he go out with at least one girl that has confessed to him, but he always said
"I would love to spend my time with you instead"
at that moment I fell in love.
But come to think of it, If I confess to him, he might reject me like all the other girls. I mean he even rejected the most beautiful girl in school!
If it was me, he'd reject me in a blink of an eye. So I kept my feelings all these years, worried if my feelings would ruin our friendship.
I shake off my thoughts. Take a shower, put on my clothes, grab a sandwich, reach for my bike and head outside.
He came riding his black bike in front of my house.
"Hey, Y/N!!!" He said with a smiling face
"Hey~" I replied
"You ready?" He asked
"Yeah, let's go" I answered
We ride our bikes to the park nearby my house. We get down from our bikes and we ran, playing in the grass.
I roll down the grass in happiness but S.coups came rolling down the grass so fast that he crash in to me.
We're hugging each other, rolling down together. His face stops in front of mine, I could feel his hot breath.
We stayed there, shocked. There's an awkward silence between us. Suddenly he breaks the ice.
"U-Uh...I'm sorry" He said as he stands up and offer me his hand
"I-It's alright" I said as I take his hand and stand up
Our cheeks burn red from that situation.
S.coups' -POV-
Gosh...that was so close. I rub the back of my neck in shyness. My heart beat fast as I see her smiling face.
Her smile was as bright as the sun, It's the thing I want to see every morning when I wake up and every night before bed.
I smile at the thought.
Will she feel the same as me?
I shake off my thoughts and try to adjust the situation. I look around the park and spotted an ice cream truck.
"Hey, Ice cream?" I ask her as I look to the ice cream truck's direction
"That'd be good" She said, smiling
We bought ice cream, It was sweet and delicious. It's good for a hot day like this too.
After that we went to sit under the tree. We spent our time together, playing, laughing and having fun. Time flies so fast that we didn't notice that it's 7 P.M.
The sky turned to dark blue. Stars started sparkling all over the sky. The moon rises, giving the romantic scent.
Is this the good time?
I breath in to calm my self before I call her name.
"Y/N..."
Y/N's -POV-
"Y/N..." He called me
"Hmm?" I uttered
"Do you think that it's possible to fall in love with your bestfriend?" He asked
"Hmm...Why'd you ask such weird question? Umm...Yes, I think it's possible because falling in love has no limits, no matter if she or he is your friend or just a stranger you've just met. I think falling in love is an easy thing for me but falling in love with the right person is the hardest " I said as I stare dreamily at the stars on the sky.
The next thing he said unexpectedly make my heart want to explode.
He said...
"Can I be that right person then?"
He turn to me, grasp my hands with the delicate touch of his
"Look Y/N...I've been waiting to tell you this for a very long time...I love you Y/N. I fell in love with you, I fell in love with your smile. You're the reason that I rejected all the girls that confessed to me...'cause I already have you in my heart" He said
I thought he was joking but when I look into his brown eyes, It was full of sincere. He was not joking at all. I stay shocked , not a single word escapes my mouth. I just look at him with my mouth open.
"I-I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. Just...pretend like I didn't say anything" He said as he frowns and let go of my hand.
I bit my lower lip, smiling. I grab his hand and sqeeze it.
"I feel the same" I said as my face burns slightly red
He turned to me, amazed.
"Really!? Like...for real!?" He said in amazement
I just nodded and smile at him.
Before I knew it I feel my self flying in mid-air. He picked me up and spun me around in happiness.
"You can put me down now" I said and I chuckled
He puts me down, smiled and stare directly into my eyes as if he's staring into my soul
"I love you Y/N" He said. His voice was full of sincere
"I love you too" I said it back with a smile
He slowly leans in and our lips touch. The touch of his lips is very gentle and delicate.
The kiss was soft and very sweet. It lasts a few seconds before he pulled away.
We sit under the tree, I rest my head on his shoulder. We talked a little bit before I fell asleep in his embrace.
"Don't waste your time looking for the right person because the right person might be the one sitting beside you"
